should have been promoted over McAdoo last year. He earned it. McAdoo didn't. I wonder how things would have been different. Either way I am very happy to see Spags be listed as a New York Giant head coach.
One would think. This is why I would now go straight to Davis Webb the rest of way. I would do my best to convince Eli that he is the QB for next year, so he stays on to mentor Webb and/or their pick. Now, pray to SF to win a game or two.
LOL....Well, in a strange season, a strange result
with the Giants organization for damn sure.
That's not their style, but I am not shedding a tear, if true.
thèse 2 will be hired in those roles. It’s the Mara way to hire people who are familiar and have worked for you. Since 1960 team has had 11 coaches and only 3 had never worked for team previously. The only GM who hadn’t worked for team was the Rozelle forced hiring of Young. Maras operate like a small business and not a billion dollar operation in a highly competitive environment.
does not deserve to be the HC, even on an interim basis. The defense has shown pathetic effort in most games this year, that's on him.
I am ok with him finishing out the season but no way to I want him here next year. The guy was a complete disaster in St Louis and was a mini "McAdoo" as it relates to the crap in the locker room and organization. He even fired the equipment manager who was with the team for decades because the guy had a good connection to the players....and that was a threat to him.

Almost no chance Spags gets retained but there's no worse than a 50/50 chance that Abrams is GM and it's almost a certainty Abrams will go back to his previous role in the organization, which is OK (Abrams was very good at his role)

I don't think you tell Eli any such thing. It should be up to the new regime what they want to do with Eli and the QB situation. Ownership has meddled enough as it is. As of now, Eli is under contract for 2 more years, if they want to keep him, there is little he can do about it.
That said, it may be in their best interest to make Eli a June 1 cut, and bring in a cheap vet to take the reins for a year. As much as I love Eli, they have to do what is best for the organization, not what is best for Eli.
Doesn't matter if you pick 1st or 10th unless you (a) have both genius and luck on your side when you pick high, or (b) are willing trade that high pick down for more picks so that you can have more players to compete in camp

He's next man up, as Reese was when EA stepped down.
Believe it's Kevin.
Yup.

won't give up the "Live PD" gig.
Precisely why I didn’t want a change until after the season
Looks like falcs are hiding Chris Morgan. OL coach. Has had great success everywhere he went.
Then there's Dante and Steve scarnechia. BB brought SR. In to fix Pat's line for example.
Maybe a role of some kind for Norv Turner?
Just Lose, baby!
Mostly worse, no?

I'd hate to see the effort this defense would play with if they hated Spags.
He doesn't even deserve an interview for HC

Has Cowher ever won anything without Labeau?

He was a God awful head coach.
