what would you have legitimately had Hanlon do differently? I have a lot of respect for him, in the job he does and how he has such great balance, and just as a good fella. But in his position, it's not as though he's going to go brief the media on what the head coach thinks, what Eli thinks, what Reese thinks, what the ownership thinks.
My guess is that Hanlon is as relieved as many of us today ... his job just got easier, regardless of what a tough stretch the Giants are (and likely will be) in. But we're not going to hear him say that.
I am... though I didn't like him making snide comments about fan reaction when the team came out totally unprepared again this season. That would've been a really good time to keep your PR-guy mouth shut.
kinda like a jr high gym teacher. sometimes, but rarely, its good motivational stuff that can leave an impression. usually its seeing him out of context as you drive by on the way to the mall out front of his house drinking a natty ice in business socks watering his lawn by hose with no spray attachment.
He has to go. I'm so sick of his tone with the media. News flash - all of us fans are watching these press conferences. When you talk to the beat reporters like an asshole, you are also talking down to the fans.
Common practice. Especially when that group of players is 2-10... fuck off if you dont like it, its your fault to begin with.

I hope you're kidding.
