Asking potential GMs if they know the story of Johnny Unitas and the Baltimore Colts. He'll also be sure to talk about his time as a Baltimore sports writer over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. And when there's only a tiny bit of time left in the interview he'll ask the potential GM about John Elway.

impressed with him on "finding giants" not sure if anyone saw that and remembers him on there, but he seemed very immature.
the fact that reese nor either of the 2 mara's seemed not to notice that their drafts went in the crapper immediately after he came on board is just as concerning
and/or Spags as HC might be enough to at the very least make me apathetic towards the Giants. I can't say I would really give up on them. But, I would certainly stop caring an awful lot.
the Giants draft picks got especially finesse and weak the second Marc Ross got here.
When Jerry couldn't be tied into the intricacies of scouting each player in detail, something I think he was very good at, and had to rely on the likes of Marc Ross and others... that's when things went downhill and fast.
When Reese ran the drafts he was actually quite successful in that role...

Its a shame that the Giants couldn't just put him in that role. Maybe they could offer him a chance to be the director of scouting in the first half of the year and the GM in the second half of the year so the Giants can see the other GMs in the office.

Absolutely. It’s astounding he stuck with Ross til the end.
I’m sure after the new GM gets here and runs his first draft Â

Agree. Reese was a good judge of talent but did not seem like a good manager.
RE: I’m sure after the new GM gets here and runs his first draft Â
Can Steve Spagnolo find his backside with both hands... will Eli be crushed by the Doomsday Defense... Can Chris Mara touch his index finger to Ernie Acorsi's nose? Tune-in Sunday for the exciting answers...

They should have fired Ross years ago.
If you recall there was a concerted effort I believe starting 2 years ago to influx the roster with 'captain' and cerebral types... guys with passion rather than finesse athletes that can workout but have no real dedication to the craft or seemingly anything else for that matter.
I think that was Reese recognizing that something was wrong with the roster makeup, attempting as much as his time would allow to correct those deficiencies and get back more of "his type" of guys. But too little too late, unfortunately.

Exactly.
I think Reese's best position is actually the position that he vacated to Marc Ross, running player personnel and the drafts. As long as Ross is still there, I think the scourge is still in this organization, unfortunately.
Mara better be aware of when things started going downhill and the makeup of the players that we were bringing in.
But ultimately the responsibility is at Reeses feet, that he green lit these players, and I can understand that.
I simply refuse to believe that the new GM retains Ross Â

This. Reese wasn’t a good manager. He also he hired a guy who sucked and didn’t Fire him. Reese needed to can Ross years ago. People joke about Quinn having pictures but Ross has been a failure in 3 places. How
This loser has kept his job is a big issue. They made TC fire Gilbride a s Fewell. How did this guy keep his job? And yes While Ross was most likely a bigger issue that Reese it was Jerry’s fault he didn’t shitcan this moron years ago.
or
The source said Marc Ross is lazy?
or
You are too lazy to tell us what the source said?
Yes.
Well, Accorsi is involved again, so of course there are leaks everywhere.

The Mark Felt of the NFL returns...
Ha!
Yes I wish I could be that lucky

What else could it mean?
