He is already on the stationary bike. I am hoping he is back next week at some point.
As was mentioned, tough week this week starting with the hot Pens tonight, then Caps and Devs back to back this weekend. Would love to get off to a hot start tonight, but I am worried about the matchup.
This is the first big test in awhile for this team (been 2 weeks since the back2back losses to the Blackhawks and CBJ). Anything less than 3 points this week is going to be rough, as this team cant afford to fall too far back given the brutal start.
all hopped up on 1500-calorie cole slaw-riddled Primanti brothers sangwiches, flat Iron City beer straight outta the can and horrific body odor will be in full force tonight cheering on Cindy Pussy and his merry band of bubble gum-chewed clits. And that's just the women.
after a pretty good first. Yet we've had 6 odd man rushes and none have resulted in a goal. Got to take your chances a bit better than that. Grabner with a wide open net but he was too fast for his own good.
Pens are going to bring it in the third, can't go into the shell

Don't get me started on the men. Holy shit.
Iron City Beer - absolutely the worst piss beer I've ever tasted. Makes Schaefers' Beer taste great...
Good for him. Nerve wracking as ever trying to close out a game against that team. But on the road against a team with that talent, without our #1 center, you take them however you can get them
way to step it up pal, and not let that little instigator fuckstain get away with any shit. That cumslut is probably still going around asking where he can store his car outside NYC for cheap.
Oh yeah - and congrats to Boo on his first career NHL goal, Pavelec on a nice road win (fuck it - start him in Washington, let Hank rest up his sniffles for the Devils on Saturday)... and to Tarasenko Buchenvich, the Duke, on his 10th goal already on the year.
i see they put 40 shots on net in the 2nd/3rd periods. Take the win, great job by Pavelec.. got some stuff to clean up with 6 games in 9 days upcoming starting Friday night.
Even if the winning goal was a weirdo, fluky bounce off a Pens skate. Especially good to get this done in their rink. The King has the flu? Didn't take the shot or what?
it's almost impossible to get the puck off them. A lot of shots allowed but I really didn't think they played poorly, and they generated plenty of high caliber chances themselves. That's just how it goes sometimes against Pittsburgh

I read that the flu shot is a particularly poor match to the dominant strain seen so far. I saw a 10% effectiveness rate, but I'm not sure if that's accurate. Hopefully that experimental universal flu vaccine will be ready for market soon.
And go watch detroits third goal tonight. Player had both feet in the blue paint, wasn't pushed by a defender, impeded Hellebyuck and hit him as shot arrived. Goal counts.
Contrast it with Nash last week not having any feet in the paint and contacting goalie (barely no different than wings player tonight) ... a full second or two before shot. Goalie comes outside his crease area to establish a position. Costs us the game vs Florida.
I remain thoroughly fucking confused by Toronto and its make shit up as you go approach.
No great lines but just strong across the board. The more aggressive they are, the more they wear other teams down. And Chytil will probably be up by the end of the year.
They do need a speedy pucking moving dman. I was hoping it would be DeAngelo but the kid only has three points at Hartford.
But overall this team is built to contend for the next five years.

The counter attack lead to several odd man rushes that could have/should have scored, Grabner's in particular.
Hit paydirt. Well deserved, he has been extremely solid for them. Better than I’d have expected. Really heavy DZ starts, and nonetheless a +7 with positive possession metrics.
He’s making a case to get more than the 11 mpg of TOI he’s been seeing.
Pavelec looked good enough to warrant more starts. Â
they had a tough year last year, but are two years removed from making the conference semifinals.
Its such a tough division - cant believe they refuse to loosen these wild card rules a bit. The concept of 3 teams from each division is fine, but they need to prevent outlandish first and second round series... like having the 2nd and 3rd best teams in a conference meet in round 1 or having the best two teams in the NHL meet in round 2.
Then again, Penguins seems to win the Cup anyway...
I think most people had WAS/PIT/CBJ as the top three in the Metro. Â
what was the point of that, to take the two teams with the least amount of cap space this coming offseason and pretend Tavares will play for one of them for $5 mil?
thats i guess somewhat refreshing to hear a coach actually say something like that... but what the fuck is he trying to accomplish by saying it?
And WTF is he talking about to begin with.. if everyone thought Shattenkirk was a "1-2" going in... then the Caps would not have acquired him (with the best regular season record in the league) for essentially a #28-31 overall pick.
What a sore fucking loser. You lost to a Crosby-less and Letang-less Pens team because Holtby sucked and Ovehckin sucked. Shattenkirk actually won the sore dick game 3 on the road to get you back in the series while your other players were kicking pucks into their own nets. unreal.

Back when he was single, the once/twice a year "illnesses" I usually chalked up to a STD... but now married with kids, maybe he's just prone...
regardless, this is a good game to see what Pavelec's got.

Greg stepped up. B/MAB are weak and afraid of the spotlight.
The respond with a whooping of Columbus on the road.
Taylor Hall is ridic.... which all of us knew years ago... how the fuck does Chiarelli still have a job??
I think the Islanders are more likely to be a surprising top 3 Metro team. Barzal is really good.

I thought the Islanders would be in the mix for a playoff spot. I didn't think Barzal would be this good this quickly.
Pretty much the same shitty guy.
This photo will always be gold.
