Let’s we forget without JR you most likely never become anything to even speak about what did McAdoo do to you? Go teach the salsa to today’s players they seem to be lost about TD dancing maybe you can help. In reality you should be shutting the fuck up!!
of Cruz hate but uh he was better than Brandon Marshall who you guys swore was the answer. Cruz was a shell of himself but there were two wins he contributed to we have two wins this year.
The phrase "long" overdue gives the impression that Cruz was coming from the perspective of how he felt about McAdoo while he was still on the team. It wasn't that at all - he didn't say anything much different than what most people here were thinking.
He suggested the Giants conspired not to throw him the ball. An utterly ridiculous assertion. Couldn't accept his loss of game. That implies Eli intentionally ignored him.
He was a great giant but if Barber is still in hell in
Mind of Giants fans Cruz deserves a little more hell for comments I think are actually worse than Barber's.

You're definitely right about Cruz' ridiculous conspiracy comments. It's clear he was toast. He got cut by the bears - who arguably have the worst receiving corps in the league. But he's right about Mcadoo. And his 2011 season was magical and he was a big part in the super bowl run. People have short memories
But when it was taken from you too early by injury, few players often do. He was a vital part of the giants winning a championship and he got his career cut short playing hard for this team. Nobody should be holding on to any scorn.

Amani Toomer made the exact same ridiculous comments about Kevin Gilbride at the end of his Giants' career and it hasn't really hurt him in terms of his relationship with the organization. Some guys just have difficulty accepting the end and Cruz' comments seem to be dripping with personal feelings about how it ended.
How do you feel about Barber who is a borderline hof candidate? By quality metrics he beats many hof. But people hold a few comments which were not that bad in the scheme of things and his failure as a broadcaster and husband against him for over a decade.
Do you have context or a quote I don't remember this well, rather vaguely that Toomer came across as bitter?
Being gameplanned out of an offense is different than a coordinated effort by the entire org not to throw to him when open because of financial implications.

The ending of his 13-year career in New York was apparently very bitter for one of the greatest receivers in team history because of the way Toomer felt the coaches were trying to prematurely phase him out of their plans.
"They tried to do it earlier in the season, but I kept playing well and keeping myself in the mix," Toomer said after helping build a playground at an East Tampa school. "They let me play myself out of it, then kind of pulled the rug out from under me. I was fighting it. I was fighting it for as long as I could. I kept making big plays and I felt like if they kept throwing to me, I'd keep making big plays.
"But I feel like they made a decision that, 'Look, we can't keep him sticking around. We've got to turn the page. We can't just keep letting him go on and on.'"
But he understood it was the coaching staff's "agenda" to "see what the younger guys" - such as Domenik Hixon and Steve Smith - "could do." Toomer never got an explanation about why his playing time was "cut in half" in the final five games. He wasn't going to "make myself look like an idiot" and ask for one, either.
"No, because you know what? No matter what, they've got an agenda," Toomer said. "I could talk until I'm blue in the face, it's not going to make any difference. And you know from dealing with the head coach that's not how he is. You could talk to him, but if he has something in his mind that's what's going to go on." The combination of Barber electing to retire early, mkaing it clear he didn't have any love for Coughlin, and also trying to make a name for himself by sabotaging the franchise QB, who was already a media target, makes it a different case in my opinion.
I would agree with everything you said. My only issue with Cruz was his parting shot to Giant brass and the ridiculousness of a conspiracy. Hence people are skeptical of his statements.
Nicks who was a great player for NYG in two seasons was in particular broiled here.
Hamstrung this team for years and probably cost TC his job. It was stupid to pay a slot wr that much money. He couldn't function as a #1. When he got hurt we were stuck with his big cap number. I guess it's more Reese's fault than Cruz. Good time to move on from both
A playcalling battle between Ben McAdoo and Mike Sullivan...
Really, the signs were all there.
He was looking for a job from anyone - no "suckholing" necessary.
But the guy has enough in the bank and his own business that he's fine.
And he's also right about McAdoo.
Some of you "suckholes" have short fucking memories.
I don’t get it either
Exactly. Just a weird group of people with hate for Cruz. A guy who monumentally overachieved and helped this team immensely.
Yeah. We must be taking crazy pills.
And let’s not quibble over semantics on a live tv show, he may re-phrase if he had the chance who knows.
I think we’d all agree it was overdue.
Perhaps only a week overdue but, overdue.

Remember when Nicks was "dogging it" and just cashing a check as he was suffering permanent nerve damage?
Remember Steve Smith giving the Giants the finger by signing with the Eagles, even though he was never healthy enough to play again?
Remember people thinking Cruz was afraid to get on the field and milking a calf injury as if it were non-existent?
By the way - none of those guys ever played meaningful football again.
And don't forget the "Becky" comments OBJ's rookie season.
Some fans are just fucking morons.
