NFT: Every time Apollonia gets into that car ...

Beezer : 12/5/2017 10:56 pm
... and Michael sees Fabrizio walking away ...

Ugh.

I get sick to my stomach.

Every time.
Yup, I was watching too

Michael had let his guard down when he fell in love with her...a mistake he made sure not to repeat when he came back and married Kay
Just never felt he really loved Kay.

Wasn’t personal. More a business agreement, IMO.

I’m a sap and get really into some films, historically.

But I am right with Michael when he falls in love with Apollonia. Easy to imagine that moment.

What ever happened to Fabrizio?
B in ALB : 12/6/2017 6:36 am : link
Did he get killed? I don't recall them ever closing that loop.
It was a long time ago, 9th grade I think
Bill L : 12/6/2017 7:12 am : link
but I'm pretty sure that, in the book at least, they took him out.

In The Godfather Saga that’s on TV now and then that combines 1&2, they include a couple scenes that didn’t make the original cut, including one where Michael has someone catch up with Fabrizio while he’s living in the US a few years after the fact, IIRC

Didn't they close it in 2? Death by car bomb
Ah. Good to know.

Don't recall seeing that scene in the Saga.

It was clear Michael really loved Apalonia. He got hit with the thunderbolt.

Doing a quick check, it's actually only in the Saga - it was a deleted scene from 2 that they add back in for the Saga.

Considering how hot Apollonia was, are you surprised? Made prime Diane Keaton look like chopped liver.
no big deal...

AGREED. HEY NOW
No matter how many times I watch the scene in Louis

Restaurant, I always get nervous. Convinced Sollozzo knows something’s up.
I still cringe every time I see the scene

where they're unwittingly describing Appolonia to her father.

Little wonder. Who could stand listening to Diane Keaton for more than 5 minutes.
