Most impressive parts of Eli's streak

DennyInDenville : 12/5/2017 11:20 pm
Besides the number 210

One thing that stands out to me is sometime in the late 2000s Eli hurt his shoulder and Mortenson reported Eli would miss atleast 4-6 weeks

Didn't miss a game.

Also he battled thru some bad plantar fasciitis one year but still played well.

I guess the most impressive part is how GENUINE his streak was

Guy legit never even came that close to missing a game

Never broke a rib , ever. Nothing.

Guy eats hits.

2011/12 NFCG at SF he took so many shots..

It's a shame his streak ended at the hands of a fat piece of shit coach trying to save his job after riding Elis ass all the way to a head coaching gig i.e. Macadoo is great for Eli, quick let's make him HC because of eli etc.. but nah he threw him under the bus all year , it is what it is .

got his bell rung. Don't know how he got up from that hit and kept playing.

I think about that sometimes whenever I hear 'dirty pocket.' How the hell does he have the balls to play in this crappy offense?
The late 2000s

Meaning week 1 in 2007 vs Dallas. He played the next week and giants got thrashed by Green Bay.

We did have a bye week that gave him a week off if I remember. that ended up being pretty lucky, since he likely would have missed a game that week.
Eli is very tough

Can you imagine getting hit like that and never losing your cool at a press conference following a game?

Wow.

It happens week 1 in Dallas opening night. I believe it was actually canty who threw him to the ground. No bye week he played against the pack the following week which we lost. Then we had the great second half comeback against the skins week 3 aka the goal line stand.
also played with Plantar Fascitis

forget he borked his ankle the last game of the season i htink in either 03 or 04. and Nassib had to finish it out. He ended up having surgery on it in the offseason. He definately would have missed games had it happened any other time.

That was 2013, the year when the offensive line might have been even worse than this one.
He took a chest injury
an_idol_mind : 12/6/2017 9:05 am : link
when Shaun Rogers landed on him in the 2008 Browns game.

Rumors also suggested that the elbow injury he suffered in the 2005 preseason got re-aggravated later that year, and that he might have suffered an injury in the 2012 49ers game. However, I don't believe those rumors were ever confirmed.

Who couldn't care less about the "streak". Im glad he didnt miss any games or suffer major injury, and Im glad he played a long time, but as for the specific # of games I really dont care.
All the injuries he played through,

is what gave that streak credence.....I applaud him for not wanting to extend the streak under the circumstances Mac set forth....

Haha you must not be reading a lot of the posts on here then. A lot of people "don't care" about the streak. You have quite a lot in common with others on here.
First time I saw Eli

in a Giants uniform in 2004, I thought he looked like a toothpick and would likely not make it through a whole season!

In '04 I remember some Eagles huge player totally blasted Eli into tomorrow and Eli promptly bounced back up.
