Fantasy Football - 12/6

Must win for me in my 10 team league. I win and I am in the playoffs, I lose and I'm out.

Need to get this right but really can't decide on a bunch of these guys. Some obvious ones (Allen, Theilen) but beyond that - not sure who to start.

Pick 3 RB and 3 WR or 2 RB and 4 WR from these groups...

RB:

S. Perine @ LAC
J Mixon (if cleared) vs CHI
J. McKinnon @ CAR
J. Williams @ CLE
M. Davis @ JAX
G. Bernard vs CHI (if Mixon is out)

WR:

K. Allen vs. WSH
A. Theilen @ CAR
J. Crowder @ LAC
T. Hilton @ BUF
D. Westbrook vs. SEA
M. Sanu vs. NO
J. Nelson @ CLE

Having a hard time deciding with the RB's especially.
Yuck.
YAJ2112 : 12/6/2017 10:32 am : link
RB:
J. Williams @ CLE - unless it looks like Jones is going to see 35+% of the work
G. Bernard vs CHI (if Mixon is out) - while Bears D is good, like the full workload
S. Perine @ LAC - Marshall taking on more of the Chris Thompson passing game role hurts him in this matchup
J. McKinnon @ CAR - probably more of a McKinnon game than a Murray game again, but too much of a split to trust completely
J. Mixon (if cleared) vs CHI - Bears D is decent and would be sharing some with Gio
M. Davis @ JAX - don't think you can trust Seattle to give him a consistent workload

WR:

K. Allen vs. WSH - getting the targets
A. Theilen @ CAR - getting the targets
D. Westbrook vs. SEA - getting the targets (25 last 3 weeks)
T. Hilton @ BUF - inconsistent but Buff D isn't scary
M. Sanu vs. NO - could be decent with Lattimore on Julio
J. Crowder @ LAC - tough matchup
J. Nelson @ CLE - no hope until ARod comes back

Yeah the RB's especially I have no fucking clue who to use. I am confident there will be plenty of points in these groups but last week I picked the wrong guys and it cost me.

Started:

Perine (9.90)
Mixon (5.20 and injured)
Crowder (9.70)
Sanu (7.30)
Theilen (9.10)

Benched:

McKinnon (16.20)
Hilton (14.10)
Williams (20.30)
Westbrook (13.80)

I can't have that happen again. Fackkk.

And that's why I say yuck. They aren't terrible options, but choosing the right ones will be impossible. Sadly I have a lot of the same choices.
Its a shame, McKinnon
Keith : 12/6/2017 10:40 am : link
has Kamaraesque talents, but Murray has looked pretty good and they use McKinnon more of a 3rd down/breather type. He'd put up monster numbers as the man. He's still good for 10 pts minimum though because he catches the ball and plays enough snaps. He'd be a lock for me.

Mixon has looked really strong of late. I'd probably put him as the 2nd guy assuming he practices. If not, Bernard would be the 2nd guy. Mixon is a bellcow type, he doesn't lose touches when healthy.

The 3rd guy is tough.
Allen and Thielen need to be
Keith : 12/6/2017 10:41 am : link
locks.
.
arcarsenal : 12/6/2017 10:44 am : link
Yeah I actually like the CIN RB either way - if it's Mixon, he's getting almost all of the touches and if he's out, they have no choice but to give Bernard about 90% of the snaps. So I'll probably use one of them.

McKinnon was a must start after Cook first went down but now Murray is really starting to eat into his work. He's still got a decent floor because they use him as the pass catching RB.

Williams is the other guy that is hard to ignore... the last 4 weeks he's gotten 20, 18, 21, 21 carries. And he's producing too. But Jones is back now and I have a feeling that's going to move more towards a 60/40.
Agree abotu Williams.
Keith : 12/6/2017 10:46 am : link
Mike Davis looked really good against a top defense last week as well. He probably won the first crack at the job this week.
.
arcarsenal : 12/6/2017 10:46 am : link
Allen and Theilen are def locks.

Westbrook has the talent and the targets/production are trending in the right direction. I'd like to start him. But Crowder sees a ton of looks too and I like Hilton's matchup.

Nelson is obviously not going to be an option. I think I can eliminate Sanu as well.

Wow that is crazy... what are the odds that you choose to sit the four guys who score the most points?

arcarsenal : 12/6/2017 10:47 am : link
Yeah and then there's Davis too - he looks like Seattle's top dog now and looked pretty solid doing so. He had a part in the pass game. The SEA RB situation has just been such a ridiculous carousel... Lacy, Rawls, Prosise, McKissic, Davis... who the hell knows. But as of now, it looks like Davis' job.
Davis is actually intriguing, but might be too risky.
Keith : 12/6/2017 10:48 am : link
He's facing a bad run defense, but I hate guys going from the west coast to the east coast. Plus, there is no history to look back on. They also have so many guys to shuffle in and out, but he looked real good against the best run defense in the league at home.

Probably slim - but I'm petrified it's going to happen again.

Add on top is that I'm going against a 10-3 team that has Bell/Gurley/Hunt.

Agreed - I like the matchup and the player I just worry that they'll go back to more of a committee. You never know with this stuff.

Part of me hopes Mixon is out just because Bernard gets used in the pass game and will get plenty of totes so starting him would be an easier call.

I'm really just trying to maximize the amount of touches/targets to give myself the best odds.
I have Mixon and Bernard too
pjcas18 : 12/6/2017 12:10 pm : link
not sure if I'd play either.

It would be over Delanie Walker in flex, would you start Mixon or Bernard over Walker in PPR flex?

Thursday night is huge for me in playoff round 1.

I have Devonta Freeman and Michael Thomas vs my opponents Julio Jones and Mark Ingram.

for those who's playoffs started
UConn4523 : 12/6/2017 12:24 pm : link
do you have 6 teams in the playoffs over 3 weeks?

Same here. 12 team league, top 6 make playoffs, top 2 get week 1 byes.

One league I'm in 1st and on a bye, other league came in 6th and play the 3rd place team this week.
Yeah all my leagues have top 6 get in
Keith : 12/6/2017 12:34 pm : link
1/2 get byes, 3 week playoffs. There should never be relevent games in week 17.
.
arcarsenal : 12/6/2017 12:41 pm : link
Yeah, both of my 12 team leagues are like that and then my 10 team league has just 4 teams get in with Week 15 and Week 16 playoffs.

Blows my mind when leagues have finals in Week 17.
damn
UConn4523 : 12/6/2017 12:42 pm : link
our 12 team league has only 4 teams make it - playoffs week 15 and 16.
Who to start at QB?
LAGiant : 12/6/2017 1:47 pm : link
Goff at home against PHI or
Brees in ATL
Here's my issue
Mike from SI : 12/6/2017 2:24 pm : link
At QB, I can either start Garoppolo at HOU or McCown at DEN. (This is a 14 team league, so yes, teams like this make the playoffs.) For DEF, I can start DEN vs. NYJ or BAL at PIT.

I think the one thing I don't want to do is start both McCown and DEN, because Denver's run defense is trash so I can totally see them giving up a ton of points while McCown gets very little. The problem with BAL is they just lost a corner and the Steelers' offense is nasty.

Wwyd? Leaning towards most likely BAL defense, but unclear what to do at QB.

I'd probably go Brees, but it's close

I'd go with Garoppolo and Denver
