Eli's first win (and first 4th quarter comeback) - very appropriate viewing leading up to this Sunday's game.

Giants-Dallas 2004 Week 17 - ( New Window )
I was thinking about this game on the way to work this morning...

looking forward to Sunday.
Excluding playoffs/SBs

my favorite game in 50 years
Please explain to me the correlation
Doomster : 12/7/2017 12:35 pm : link
of this game and the one coming up Sunday.....

It amazes me that the spread is only 4.5 points.....

We have a team that can easily score 30, and one that can't score 20......

Dallas would have to shoot itself in the foot, with both guns, to lose this game...
Thanks for posting

I’m going to watch this tonight and cry a little

I’ve come to learn that Vegas rarely gets it wrong. Eli return. The team will fight hard. Mac is gone so even more reason to come out crushing it to show the giants brass that Mac was the problem. Players careers are on the line I expect it to be a tight game. 3 points or less.
it's fun to watch Tiki again

Didn't you get the memo? Tiki is a piece of shit and should never be remembered in a positive light, because he said something mwean about coughlin and eli over a decade ago :(
Truthfully, I'm somebody who sees Tiki as an opportunist
Moondawg : 12/7/2017 2:17 pm : link
willing to sell out his teammates. But he was a hell of a competitor when he played, and I'm thankful for his efforts on the field.
Man, thinking about this game some more throughout the day today....

14 years, where did the time go?

Somebody asked what the correlation was between this game and the upcoming one....

I think it was just a decimated roster, all of the WR's out and I can't remember if Shockey was playing or not, but generally a lost season....

Eli finds unknown David Tyree for 3 TD's, and leads the first of many, many last second drives for victory against Bill Parcells and the Cowboys.

I remember watching most of that game, a lot like I watch them now... Just out of habit because we were so bad. I decided to watch the rest of the game in bed, in our small apartment, next to my girlfriend (now wife) who was asleep.

At the start of the drive I was laying there... In the middle of the drive I was sitting up, feeling nervous... When we scored, I jumped out of the bed and yelled and scared the sh-t out of my girlfriend.

There was a lot of hope going into the offseason. It felt like maybe we got our guy. To take that ragtag bunch and put them on his back and beat the Parcells led Cowboys... It just felt like a big win in a lost season.

Hope. It felt like the beginning of something. The sad part, the flipside is, this feels like the end of the story. Hopeing for one more riveting chapter.

14 years... Since then we moved, got married, started a career, bought a house, had two kids, sold a house, bought a new house..... I was in my mid twenties. I'm 41 now.

Where did the time go? I remember it like it was yesterday.
And thinking about what I just wrote.....

I know why I so desperately to see Eli have one more act....

Selfishly, I still want that bridge to my youth. 14 years and all those things that happened.... There was ol' reliable Eli at QB every week, the highs of the highs, and the lows of the lows....

It's going to suck without him.
In the context of the past week....

this game makes me really sad.

A 17 year old Route 9 found his way to the first row of that game and that last Tiki TD happened right in front of me. Probably my favorite game I attended, there had to be 30 or so fights that night.

By the way, Eli's first start vs Atlanta can also be found on YouTube
Stepping back...

it's unbelievable that there has not been another QB (up until last week), for the NYG.

Just insane. 14 years.

With dial up internet listening to games through a web radio feed. Had 2 kids and went from a snot nosed jersey kid to adult with solid career and beautiful tween children under elis tenure.

Yeah so we could see Geno Smith lose, all because of some fat blob clueless head coach and owner
