Feel bad for the guy. Super talented player, I hope he makes a full recovery.

they haven't even said if he had full feeling and movement yet. When he went down and while on his back tried to sit up and his legs didn't even budge, my stomach turned. This is one serious injury...

Best wishes to him and his family.

at this point you have to hope that he gets his feeling back

Ia a horrible game to play...a dangerous game. If you have a son who is good at both football and baseball urge him to play baseball. As Fans, we do not fully understand the tenacity of the hits these guys take at this level. That is why some college players who are great athletes fail in the NFL... they cannot take the punishment of the game. This is the reason why Tony Romeo wisely stopped playing after his back injury although it was not as bad as Shaziers. Now you know why a defense can get pissed off and quit when they have to stay on the field for 40 minutes because the offense cannot move the football.
The excuse of blaming the offense

Has always seemed to overlook the defense blowing several 4 th quarter leads when the season was still revelant for the Giants

Not buying it. This defense has been bad on it s own merit.
Hopefully not a complete severance,

but the fact that they are performing this surgery suggests that it was not. Might be spinal shock, and he may regain motor and sensation as the inflammation subsides. In any scenario, he will likely need some serious rehabilitation, and it's not likely he plays in the NFL again. Sad. Very good player, and from all accounts, person and teammate.
Prayers

DISAGREE with everything you wrote. If you hate football so much why are you on this board. Every football player has played knowing their is a threat of major injury. Shazier's injury is tragic but he led with his head. Not the first time he has either. Football will survive. Playing football is a great thing for high schooler's and teach's life lessons. Coached for high school for 10 years and no major injuries to my players or opponents.
If he'll walk
HoustonGiant : 12/8/2017 10:29 am : link
is the question. Not if he'll play.
