Browns are releasing WR Kenny Britt, per source. He will go on waivers, and he is expected to go unclaimed and then he will be free to sign with another team.

We should pick him

There was a push-pull between the front office and coaching staff about Kenny Britt, whether to play him or not. Sashi Brown was a fan. Hue Jackson... was not. With new #Browns GM John Dorsey in, Britt is out -- $10.5M richer.

and 6'3" tall. Last year he had a 1000+ yd. season. Why not grab him for a few games? Oh, if we win a few because of him, we lose draft position.

Because he was playing for a contract. He got it and promptly mailed it in this season.
