I get that the players don’t think like this, but the goal is the #2 pick, not some meaningless win. They’re actually detrimental to the big picture.
I think fans put way too much stock in draft position. You can get a Hall of Famer or a bust at #2 or #24.
At #2, you have control of who you get. At #24, you don’t. Is this gonna be the new bbi narrative, draft position doesn’t matter. It most certainly does.
