Draft order + this week's games

ray in arlington : 12/8/2017 11:19 pm
Total wins by non-common opps in parentheses, including future games with automatic pickups. To pick ahead you want to get a smaller total (i.e. pickups are bad). Possible pickups from future games are in brackets.

The Giants are in good shape in tiebreaks with CHI and TB, The Giants will probably get a bad result from the tiebreak with DEN. Other tiebreaks (CLE, SF, IND, HOU) are close.

1. CLE 0-12 (NYG 99 CLE 104) [NYG can get 28 more, CLE can get 30 more]
2. NYG 2-10
3. SF 2-10 (NYG 62 SF 64) [NYG can get 17 more, SF can get 20 more]
4. IND 3-9 (IND 77 NYG 79) [IND can get 26 more, NYG can get 26 more]
5. DEN 3-9 (DEN 63 NYG 63) [DEN can get 14 more, NYG can get 20 more]
6. CHI 3-9 (NYG 89 CHI 98) [NYG can get 20 more, CHI can get 15 more]
7. HOU 4-8 (NYG 75 HOU 78) [NYG can get 28 more, HOU can get 28 more]
8. TB 4-8 (NYG 95 TB 109) [NYG can get 24 more, TB can get 20 more]

HOU pick traded to CLE.

Giants finish 2-14: Best pick #1, worst #3
Giants finish 3-13: Best pick #1 (#1 unlikely), worst #5
Giants finish 4-12: Best pick #1 (#1 very unlikely), worst #8 (#8 very unlikely)

=======================================================
This week's games:

NYG "rivals" for top picks
---------------------------
CLE win over GB could help NYG get #1 pick

SF win over HOU could help

IND win over BUF could help

DEN win over NYJ could help

TB win over DET could help

Other results can help the Giants in tiebreaks - particularly losses by PHI and WAS.

Going forward. For those hoping the NYG win this week or vs Philly next week and go 3-13, be careful what you wish for. That could knock us down to 5, meaning the price to trade up for Rosen or Darnold would be exorbitant.
Thanks Ray

Yes thank you! CHI over CIN could help.

I think Peterman is starting due to Taylor injury

I know we are accustomed to this team ripping our hearts out with meaningless late season wins, but I honestly see no chance for them to beat Dallas this week. They just don’t have the fire power right now. The emotions of the week may provide an initial jolt but reality will set in when they get smacked in the mouth

This is great. Thanks for posting. It’s scary what a couple wins could do to the draft order. But can’t root against the Giants especially vs. the Cowboys.

Of course root for the Giants. Its just that by the 4qtr we will see that is pointless...
Just lose, baby!
