Do you need a kettle bell. I guess more specific, I perform excercises like swings and Turkish get ups with a dumbbell - is there a much greater advantage to doing these excercises with a kettle bell?
the weight and Center of gravity is all concentrated in the bulb portion so you are effectively using more weight outside your grip. If you are using a DB, 1/2 the weight is outside your grip so you would need a heavier DB to make an equivalent workout.
swings with proper posture,
squats,
standing leg lifts..
squat / shoulder press
lunges, alternating kettle bell through legs.
