From the premiere last night were amazingly positive. Not surprised though. Once they handed Johnson his own trilogy, you knew they must’ve really liked what he has done
I thought Force Awakens pretty much laid out that she was Luke's kid, which would make her Kylo Ren's cousin.
They didn't lay it out they left a couple of hints that made it seem like she could be Luke's daughter. If she is Kylo Ren's cousin why doesn't he recognize her? When he turned to the darkside he was a young adult so he would certainly be able to recognize his younger cousin when he sees her again not to mention feel the force inside of her.

My thought is that Luke probably gave her up while she was young, maybe around age 4 or 5. Kylo would have been old enough to remember Luke having a daughter, but not likely to recognize her at an aged appearance.
The force is very weak, undeveloped in Rey at the start of the movie... expected that Kylo wouldn't be able to sense it at that point.
My theory is that Luke gave Rey to Lando to take care of, which might help explain how she would have gain so much familiarity with the millennium falcon.
Yeah, that sucked.
