I remember the news of her passing vaguely around the Giants community at the time. Wasn't she a season ticket holder at the old stadium in the 100s if I remember correctly?
One of the nicest, most generous people I ever had the pleasure to meet. She was always looking out for others. To make sure they were taken care of. She was the BBI Den Mother.
I'll never forget how she took care of my dad, made sure he had ground transport at G-Men training camp we went to. I think it was in 2003. She even took care of Howard Cross, when she and I bumped into him in the SUNY Albany parking lot that year. She had to "protect" him from the drooling idiot fan I became when I realized, who he was. He was one of my favorite G-Men, when he played. I got starry-eyed and very loud when I greeted him. Hope fortunately was there to calm me down.
I'll also never forget how I happened to run into Hope and Berrylish as we made our way to Univ. of Phoenix Stadium for Superbowl XLII. What were the odds that we'd run into each other? It was fate.
You are correct. Thank you.
I never met her in person. We chatted here and on line. She sent my Boys a bday card every year.
One of the most genuine and kindest people I have ever known.
