through the show. I know how bad ESPN has become has been mentioned here multiple times. But I still watch it for highlights, and some other stuff is still good like PTI and College Gameday. But they began todays show with 3 straight NBA highlights on the morning after Army/Navy in the snow, the Heismann, Stanton to the Yankees and #1 Duke going down to on unranked team. What is their obsession with the NBA? I am not the biggest NBA hater, basketball is actually my favorite sport to play and second favorite to watch. I just don't understand how regular season NBA games in December can be shown before other big events of the day. Sunday morning sportscenter is usually dominated by college football.
ESPN also spends something like $1.3 billion a year for NBA rights.
I love it. It was also a great game yesterday.
You mean other than the people who devote their lives to protecting our country and the countless who have played the game, gone on to serve, and died doing the same? Hmmmm....I wonder?

?? It is? According to who? Anyway you answered the question with your second sentence - espn markets the sports that it has the most access to. Not rocket science - it's the same reason they refuse to show hockey highlights ... NBC sports network owns those rights
I think you are conflating what's interesting to you and what's interesting to a wider audience and what's in the financial best interest of the network.
