do when teams were moving and it soon became our turn...
We got what we deserved as other teams take advantage of our weaknesses in drafting.
Oh please. He was no more a reach than any other 1st round pick. He was the 2nd rated CB of the draft, we the enlightened know nothing of what goes on in a draft room.
So he has a hip. Who knows how long it was bad. Nobody knew Jackrabbit was sporting a high ankle sprain for 5 or 6 weeks.
Apple? TB took the consensus top-rated Vernon Hargreaves right after us. That doesn't reflect panic and moving a late first rounder up. It reflects an evaluation process, that although perhaps flawed, says we want a CB back here and this is the guy we think is best.
But don't let facts get in the way of a good story.
The conspiracy theorist in me thinks they’re keeping Apple listed with a BS injury for the remainder of the season so there is one less distraction but the organization and many of his teammates are through with him after he quit on those plays and he’ll be released in the offseason.
RE: Wait, wasn't the highest rated cb still on the board when we took Â

On top of the fact that the Dolphins had him targeted and I might be wrong, tried to trade with us to get him...

Quite possible. Or possibly traded on draft day.

Don’t bother. Googs is the king of “reach!”. It’s his calling card. If he doesn’t think a player should be taken REACH!. He loves doing mock drafts so if Yahoo has a player going later, you bet your ass it’s a reach.
He’s the definition of going chalk with mock drafts from writers that haven’t got a fucking clue. If Kiper thinks Apple would last until later in the first, Googs is all in. Actual draft day truth will always be damned if he reads something on a website. Panic! No plan! Reach!
Did he fall off his skateboard?
Another name to add to the huge pile.

Sorry for calling him a reach thus far. Way off base...
