It is time to look at Webb to prepare for the draft.If Eli is unhappy he can go cry to his daddy. The new GM can decide who will be the starter next year. But we need to find out if drafting another QB is necessary when we have other more pressing needs. I think if we address the other needs Eli can still start and win. But he needs to understand that he is not being benched. He is being asked to allow Webb to get game reps for the good of the team. Eli will still be considered the probable starter next season. I think we need Barkley or another Lineman worse than we need another QB. But if Webb looks awful in the last three games we need to consider another QB. There is no question that injuries have affected the offense.. but a running back like Barkley (who can also catch the ball) can make a big difference even with the line we have now. I like Gallman but he should be the replacement for Vereen who is now TOO SLOW and be cut .Gallman is too small and not strong enough to be our main RB weapon. Look what Kamara does for the saints.. this is what we need unless Webb looks like shit.Then we need to look at a QB. WE should also prioritize and focus om a guard and tackle, after taking a guy like Barkley.

yes you can....you can tell how he handles the offense, how he carries himself, how he reads defenses, how he makes adjustments, how he delivers the football, how he handles the adversity, how he understands the concepts, etc. there is PLENTY to evaluate. you make it sound like he would just drop back and get sacked every play. the OL is bad but not THAT bad...
At least Webb gives something to watch. At best maybe we squeak out an ugly win with Eli that wont restore a shred of confidence and may blow chances at franchise QB. Thanks to bitchy fans, were all in on making that happen.

I really appreciate how some of you guys have traveled around the country to watch Mayfield play, put in countless hours analyzing tape, have worked him out and provided thorough analysis of his performance, and had a chance to do to due diligence with NFL talent and QB evaluators, research on his football intelligence, character, and other intangibles and have come to the conclusion he's worth the #2 pick. Great job.
Right now, other than making sure the feelings of the fans and Eli are not hurt, there is no benefit to playing Eli the rest of the way.
