Brett Hundley vs Davis Webb

Earl the goat : 12/10/2017 4:27 pm
Hundley 5th round pick
Webb 3rd round pick

Hundley given the chance to develop due to an unfortunate injury to Rodgers has performed admirably Kept the Packers playoff chances alive

Webb needs to be given a look in the last three games to see what this kid has Thereís no guarantee that any of these QBs coming out are any better than Webb and could absolutely be busts

The Giants are in great position come draft time to trade down and acquire multiple picks to rebuild this team quickly

its a no brainer that webb should start and finish the final 3....

we are being loyal to eli and i get it, but this is a business...i dont buy the he isnt ready bullshit. guys that were drafted after him have seen time
Theyíre all better than Webb
jeff57 : 12/10/2017 4:30 pm : link
But Iíd still give him a look.
This
cokeduplt : 12/10/2017 4:31 pm : link
Is hundleys second year so he sat for a year plus. Not the best comparison but I would like to see Webb
No contest. Hundley is allowed to play and the other
Jimmy Googs : 12/10/2017 4:32 pm : link
one is a figment of our imagination.

We never even drafted him...
Not a fair comoarison
Ten Ton Hammer : 12/10/2017 4:32 pm : link
The Packers are a playoff quality team without their QB.

The Giants offense is garbage at all levels. Not a good space for a rookie who has never played a live snap under center.
Hundley drafted in 2015
EddieNYG : 12/10/2017 4:33 pm : link
Webb drafted in 2017

Do you think Webb would have a chance playing behind that crap
SterlingArcher : 12/10/2017 4:34 pm : link
oline? After he threw his fist INT you would be calling him a bust.
Hundley

Exactly.
Makes no sense to compare the two.
LauderdaleMatty : 12/10/2017 4:37 pm : link
And watching the the shitty OL shitty WRs and bad offense will give the next coaching staff info that will be useful? Doubtful.

Correct Jon in NYC. Hundley blows Guess you havenít watched many Packer games
Hundley did blow. But then he got an opportunity to get snaps
Jimmy Googs : 12/10/2017 4:40 pm : link
and took advantage of it, learned more and is doing just fine.

But Webb should sit...

I watch a ton of packer games. Hundley sucks ass.
The Giants are weird

The QB may be better than Webb
Mike in NY : 12/10/2017 4:48 pm : link
But I would hate to spend a pick on a marginal improvement and pass on Cub
Pass on
Mike in NY : 12/10/2017 4:49 pm : link
Chubb or Nelson who would be definitive improvements

I agree. And trading down nets is some additional picks and Nelson would probably still be available
Starting rookie qb in this offense
idiotsavant : 12/10/2017 5:02 pm : link
Would be child abuse.

Let's see how the draft plays out.
Webb
AcidTest : 12/10/2017 5:21 pm : link
would do nothing with this offense. No one can.
Nothing any QB could do
Sec 103 : 12/10/2017 5:27 pm : link
With the personnel on the field for the Jints. However the D really sucks

This thread just blows. Guy is on year 3 and only playing because Rodgers was hurt. He isnít even good either. But whatever, in a few weeks the Webb threads will be over.
Hundley led team would have scored more points than Eli
Jimmy Googs : 12/10/2017 5:51 pm : link
today.

Would like to see if you could ignore a Webb thread as well...
Is the Hundley-led team coming with Green Bay's line?
Ten Ton Hammer : 12/10/2017 5:53 pm : link
I'm all in on that if so.

Sawwwy Jimmy
Yes, the GB running backs kicked ass just like the NYG RBs today
Jimmy Googs : 12/10/2017 5:56 pm : link
and Hundley was running around under duress all day.

The o-line isnt the difference...

Sure it would. Because, Engram, Shepard, and Joe blow are clearly on the same level as Adams, jordy and Cobb
I would also expect Webb to be ready year 3
UConn4523 : 12/10/2017 6:03 pm : link
but are we just going to ignore that small little detail and just continue pretending Webb has been in the league the same amount as Hundley?

The thread sucks because itís comparing draft pick status and nothing else. Great thread.

And your comment
UConn4523 : 12/10/2017 6:09 pm : link
is exactly why this thread is pointless. We are comparing a guy who just started getting reps in practice to a year 3 player whoís only playing because of an injury.

The scenarios couldnít be any different but hey, they were picked in the mid rounds so letís compare them.
Ok
Jimmy Googs : 12/10/2017 6:12 pm : link
Greg RN...
I'd love to see this guy

Not ready
Hilary : 12/10/2017 7:16 pm : link
Webb has been with the team for 7 months. He has been throwing a football since he was 5 or 6. Not ready is the real indictment on the coaching staff. he should be ready.Urban Meyer's red shirt freshman QB's are always ready when the get forced into action.
The Packers..
FatMan in Charlotte : 12/10/2017 9:24 pm : link
are 2-5 since Rodgers got hurt, beating the Bears and Bucs.

I'm not really sure how that's playing admirably, but there are some weird things that get posted here.
Quick correction
KWALL2 : 12/10/2017 9:34 pm : link
Huntley has been awful.
Another correction
KWALL2 : 12/10/2017 9:36 pm : link
The packers aren't a playoff caliber team without their QB.

One more thing. The good news for GB is hue learned Hundle isnt very good so they can make a plan on finding a replacement.
This is what the OP meant to say
KWALL2 : 12/10/2017 9:43 pm : link
Packers got a chance to evaluate their backup QB during regular season games. This was extremely valuable for the organization as they were able to determine that Hundley was not the player they thought he was. And now the Packers have more info on the player and can make a plan in the offseason to improve this position.

Unfortunately the Giants didn't take the same opportunity to evaluate Webb.

In summary, the NYG are Fukin Stupid.

They are when he's healthy. If they had a more talented backup they'd be able to tread water. The Giants cannot even run an offense when everyone's healthy.
The only injured player
KWALL2 : 12/10/2017 10:25 pm : link
They are missing is Rodgers. That's the only injury that impacts that team.

Who else is injured and hurting the team?

With Rodgers they are a SB cor tender.

Without him, they suck.
