We need the best lineman in this draft, we also need one of the better RB’s in this draft too. The first two picks should be lineman and the 3rd rd pick should be a running back, I think Webb can be what we need while we strengthen the rest of the roster.
YOU HAVE TO TAKE ONE!
Christ.
After you get that QB you re-build the other needs.
We can say the same for any QB coming into the lg. I’d much rather build that offensive line than to draft another QB with a trash line and have him go thru hell trying to run for his life. We also need a difference maker in the backfield so if there isn’t a really good OL at our 2 nd pick then I’d be ok with a RB there. We will be a better team getting the best lineman then getting anything else
2nd even if u have to move up into late 1st rd RB Bryce Love.
3rd rd best LB avaliable.
This team needs better pass rushers bad, and Oline. Love in the 2nd is a must.
With s the number 2 pick in the draft they took L. T.
Of course they should take a quarterback.
YOU HAVE TO TAKE ONE!
Anyone who disagrees with your post is obviously a football dolt. Seriously.
YOU HAVE TO TAKE ONE!
Look at what Luck is going thru in Indy.... pay attention!
We need to strengthen the line period. Wentz walked into a team that had a solid line... look at the Eagles now. Goff walked onto a team that had a above avg running game and look at he Rams now. Oh and by the way Davis Webb put up pretty good numbers in his only year at Cal...
Smart money says build the team now..or pay for it later
Try reading .....
2nd round - BPA with eye for OT, RB, DE

And you are picking #2 in the draft (as of today) and there are a few potential franchise QBs there for the taking...

QB is extremely difficult to find. OL is less so. Obviously you take the QB when you can get one. They aren't one lineman away from a good line anyway.
We've taken 2 first round Oline guys and a 2nd rounder recently. You grab your "franchise" QB and if you must, go Oline/DE for the rest of the draft.

I’m with you in terms of the RB and OT.
- flowers has shown enough for me to say he is apart of this team going forward... I’m ok with Brent Jones also ... we look like the Jets right now. We should’ve never kept 3 QB’s on the roster. Webb’s apparent issues are coachable things like snaps from center and footwork on multi step drops ... he seems to be dedicated with studying and work ethic so he has what you want from a leader on top of he fact he has a great arm. It’s not a stretch to say Goff is his projection and I’m fine with that .... get the team better... go from there

I respect your post but
We don’t know what they are.... look at how shaky Winston looks right now ... also wasn’t Russell Wilson a third rounder???

Webb is not a statue...
You clearly didn’t see what Kizer did today

This. Period. Anything else is football malfeasance.
Eli has 1-2 years left and where will the Giants be ?
Webb is a question mark and I am not certain anyone knows his potential
The one absolute is that to win in the NFL you need a quality Qb
If one of Rosen , Darnold , Mayfield etc can be a franchise Qb I do not know how the Giants could pass on one of them
I am watching that game... the difference between me and you is that my eyes don’t stop at the signal caller... that’s why the eagles traded for a rb mid season ... it’s a necessity folks. Again I don’t see Jared Goff being anymore talented than Davis Webb but the offensive team that surrounds Goff def is. We need our team to be better and it’s the coaches fault we still haven’t seen Webb not Webb’s fault.

If you look at recent history and take out the hall of fame QB’s (Peyton / Brady)
The teams that went to the super bowl all had a QB that wasn’t a 1 or 2nd pick and had great defense and running games around them (kaepernick / 9ners , Flacco pick 18 , Russell Wilson / 3rd rd
For every number 1-3 pick at QB you have others that did just as good if not better. Dashaun Watson who was this years super guy walked on to a Texans team that was already geared to win big. Hell garbage Sanchez went to 2 afc championship because of the pieces around him
(2) front office and coaching that drafts, acquires, inspires, enables and maximizes the team's potential NOPE.
That, is what its gonna take.

That's an awful Yoda impersonation.
He's one hit away on his rebuilt knee from early retirement. No thanks

We can rebuild him. We have the technology.
p.s.--And it's a lot cheaper to add a starting quality OL in free agency than it is to add a starting quality QB. So I say: improve the OL via free agency, improve the QB position via the draft.
With that high a pick you take a skill position player. If not QB then take Barkley but absolutely not an offensive lineman. Thats just downright stupid.
It's an easy call. Passing on a QB would be a tremendous blunder.
The timing is right, the pick and talent will line up. Have to do it.
Will they take the right guy? That's another conversation. But it's a really big opportunity and we need to capitalize.

How ever you wanna cut it... we need the best lineman in this draft trade down so be it. The logic is sound no matter how many unintelligent insults you wanna throw at it
I understand the frustration with the OL, but it is equally frustrating having to explain this over and over again. Forcing picks isn't the way to fix it.

And thats a quick way to run a franchise into the ground. Yeah sorry if I dont have more creative insults because its just that elementary and stupid. You dont draft a lineman with the #2 pick. You just don't. You're supposed to be able to find those guys later in the draft if you are doing your job.
With a pick that high you get a dynamic skills player and there are plenty of them out there. Drafting an OL is a waste of a top pick.

So is collecting QB’s like baseball cards w/out evaluating what you have already ... just ask the Jets

The Giants have been collecting 1st & 2nd round Oline guys like freegin' baseball cards.
The Giants have not drafted a QB in round 1 or 2 since 2004!
Just stop it or you will be very sad this coming April.
