low point of the broadcast

Hilary : 12/10/2017 7:11 pm
Low point of the broadcast came when announcers said that JPP was calling out the offense. They showed him on the bench with a cast on his right hand. WTF the first priority of the Giants in the off season was to sign a player with one hand. This is like a commercial for the Shriner's Hospital or a fund for injured Vets not a football team trying to win the super bowl.Did they expect he could compete with NFL tackles only being able to grip with one hand?
Low point was every time Charles Davis opened

Davis

Charles Davis was a big improvement on James Lofton and Ronde Barber. Since we suck we don't get Moose Johnson or Troy Aiken anymore.
I muted it right after Burkhardt squealed like a school girl

Troy Aiken? Really? That's a name you're not quite sure about?

And it's Johnston, but at least that one is somewhat understandable.
Burkhardt was woefully incompetent.

When Shane Smith came in, he announced with a tone of surprise that Smith was the Giants' third string TE inserted at FB. Smith has been only a FB for us since training camp. Then, he announced that Vernon had gotten hurt and was replaced. We could all see Vernon lining up as always. It was JPP who went out. A play later, he noticed that Olivier was on the field and he said "Olivier is back in." I would say it is an announcer's job to know who is on the rosters, what numbers they wear, and what positions they play.

I noticed those instances as well. He didn’t seem to care much about the Giants. I guess they don’t put effort into knowing much about losing franchises. And his excitement when Dallas did well was quite telling as well.
I had to bail on that broadcast

Thank God for NFL Redzone.
I actually liked Charles Davis

His voice is pleasant, he seemed knowledgeable without being intrusive. I didn't think he was bad at all.

Charles davis offered interesting insights into the formations and players, including when the giants brought in Thomas to lead block in a jumbo package.
Burkhardt makes John Sterling seem neutral.

All he needed was some pom poms and makeup and he could have been down on the sidelines kicking his legs for the 'boys.

I thought Charles Davis was fairly decent though the broadcast in general showed a lot more replays of Dallas plays that Giants plays (even before the last quarter). I guess when your 2-10 your fans don't matter.
