Tough luck. I feel for a player getting hurt but have no problem seeing the Eagles and their fans suffer from it. Nobody was shedding tears for us when we lost Beckham.
All is not lost for the Eagles. Foles is capable and will definitely beat us next week for a nice confidence boost.
But if you are the Panthers or Saints your potential road to the Super Bowl got a little broader today.
And I don't recall them shedding any tears when Victor Cruz's career was basically ended in that horrible game against them. It's a brutal sport.
I don’t think there defense is nearly as good as they think it is, but I do think their offense has been a nightmare to deal with schematically. Foles isn’t bad, and he was KC backup last year and knows this system really well. I think this could be a situation where foles surprises people.
As to Wentz, if he doesn’t move around, and run misdirections etc, he just isn’t the same qb. It’s easy to say not for him to do it, but if he doesn’t he isn’t nearly as effective. In other words, I am not sure if he is a guy who can drop back and just win games for you.
Is it looks like it’s his right knee/plant leg. Wouldn’t be shocked if he is
kept to a special rehab in training camp and misses first chunk of the season.

Don't complain when Eli is like a statue in the pocket,...we need a mobile quarterback.., really ..,,.well this is the price you pay.. I will gladly take 210 starts vs 29 ..... think about it
Want to see someone injured, but once they're on the injury report, don't necessarily want to see them come off. Anything that makes it more difficult for philly to win is ok in my book.
with a bunch of Eagles fans...they’re pretty down right now. We’re all old enough now to talk football agreeably despite the mutual dislike of each other’s teams - one friend said this must be how you felt when Plaxico shot himself.
Had to admit to the similarities. Truth is, Foles is a better backup than most teams could trot out, and that team is still very good around him (those receivers are legit)...but no doubt their Super Bowl dreams took a big hit today
Are we going to murder the Eagles defense man by man during the week? If so, sure maybe we can win. This team sucks and can't score, we're going to get murdered.

I don't want to hear a freaking word from Eagles fans.

Simms went down with a broken foot around this time during the 1990 season. I doubt there were any Eagles fans shedding tears for the Giants.
They can still win games with Foles. If any of those bitches whine to you, tell them to STFU.
Living in the area, I guarantee til the day I die, I will hear how this was an all time team that would have smoked any team in the playoffs. Many here believe they were the best team in 2002 and 2008 and talk about it like the stars had to align for them to lose.
They are the Eagles but, they were having a great year .... Â
I want them to lose but, I want them to lose on all cylinders. Seems like a good guy ... as someone mentioned above ... because we are so late in to this season if it is a tear ... this will take them way into next season.
Life in the NFL ... fortunes made or broken by inches or a thread.
And fuck the Eagles. Tired of hearing he's a nice guy. Fuck that team and their fans too. Them getting knocked out of the playoffs will be the only thing that saves this season.
Ask Tannehill about rehabbing a partially torn ACL vs surgery. It's a ticking time bomb if he doesn't get it reconstructed. Good for the giants, so opt for rehab Carson!

A lot of people were on the Eagles bandwagon but they were never winning it all this year with or without Wentz. I can’t think of a QB outside of Brady who has even been to a SB his first time in the playoffs. This hurts the Eagles going forward because Wentz will not get that playoff experience and will most likely be out to start next year even if he has a full recovery.
People say it’s a down year but the NFC playoffs look to be surprisingly loaded. The Seahawks and Saints have two SB winning QBs and a ton of playoff experience. The Falcons and Panthers have been to SBs recently and have a lot of playoff experience. The Vikings have arguably the most talented roster in the league outside of the QB position. There’s also a chance GB could get in the backdoor with Rodgers likely back this week.
And hes a good QB, how many more times are we going to watch players with his type of game have these injuries and how often do fanbases think their guy is the one exception.
Russell Wilson is literally the only guy who doesnt take those hits. But I think he is just on borrowed time at this point. You ALWAYS take a hit when you play that way.
Give e a guy like Eli who never takes hits, but gives up on plays to ensure he starts next week.

As I saw a stat that he Eagles are in 3rd and long more than any team not named the Cleveland Browns or Baltimore Ravens. Schematically it might be a great defense but Wentz's ability to move in the pocket and extend plays on 3rd and long is one of the main factors in their success. Shorn of that it'll be interesting to see how they get on.
Vick took stupid unnecessary hits running with the ball Â
seasons that Cunningham got popped in knee as well and was lost for year. He changed his style a lot after that...and also lost his job.
Yep remember him spitting up blood?
Yep. McNabb?
Romo? He even said it himself during one of the how he mistakenly thought he could bounce around and quickly stopped (or curtailed) because he realized these guys on defense in the NFL were moving assassins... or something along those lines

He might be OK in a couple weeks.
Or sooner. He's a big, strong kid.
Eagles and Rams with a great game today.
Russell Wilson is the only guy I have ever seen escape injury by running a lot.
the only one....

The worst thing the Eagles could do is rush him back to the field and ruin him like the Redskins ruined RG3

No, the Giants won't win. But neither will the Eagles in January.
Hahaha. No chance.
Eagles have Agholor really exploding, Jeffery playing well. They’ll have Ertz back and Ajayi and Blount on the ground on offense.
Plus Schwartz will have his defensive front going after Eli all game.
kept to a special rehab in training camp and misses first chunk of the season.

It's his left knee

NFC is tougher than AFC imo.

Don't worry. Foles will carve the Giants up.

Vick, Cunningham, and Tarkenton last a long time. But it's a short list. Agreed about Wilson. He knows how not to take the big hit.

Hope he is okay - Eagle or not.
I never hope for anyone to get injured. I feel badly for some of my friends that are Eagle fans.
But it s not a fluke that he got hurt.
