Yeah, that’s not karma. In the first place, it doesn’t sound like he had any personsl involvement. More importantly, this was about you using inside connections to.get special privledges you weren’t entitled to. The karma was losing your reservation.

if my friend had asked and they said no - then "ce la vie" no harm done ..
I think once they gave me the reservation then they should have honored it ..
to cancel it the day of the reservation shows zero class..
