NGT: Question, Does Gruden Survive

clatterbuck : 12/11/2017 12:06 pm
not making playoffs, media questioning team's effort, players like Norman mouthing off, some players saying team isn't practicing, well, citing lack of attention. From reading DC papers, seems like Washington could be looking for a new QB if they don't resign Cousins as well as a new coach. Doesn't break my heart and I'm OK with reveling in the misery of their fans.

As of now Washington has $55 Million of it for 2018
He may not. It depends how they finish the year

If they lose double digit games then I think he's gone.

The Giants better get cracking with their GM & HC search, other teams could be looking soon...
He has a walking Mash unit at Offensive line

He went into the season without a decent back or receiving corps. Then the line went down instantly along with Pryor (who was a bad signing to begin with) and Reed. Then they lost Thompson who emerged as a good all around player. It's amazing they were so competitive.
I don't see it

If Chucky were to come here as head coach, it is very possible we get his brother also.

I think Jay Gruden is an excellent HC. He has done an excellent job developing Cousins. It's even more impressive when you consider what goes on behind the scenes with Snyder and co. If the Redskins fired Gruden I would be very happy if the Giants hired him as HC.
Not sure

But if he stays it’s likely Kirk goes. If he goes then the new staff may want to keep Kirk. I know for a fact the current skins coaching staff is not high on Kirk. In fact they like Colt more but have stayed away due to how oft injured Colt is and the fact they have so much money invested in Kirk. So if Gruden stays I believe the skins will be a possible trade up candidate for a QB. I also know that Atlanta has been back channeling some of the skins support staff at certain positions so I expect there to be some changes to the skins staff one way or another.
