NFT: Deleting Emails by Mistake

I find myself constantly deleting Emails on my IPhone 7 by mistake. I don’t get prompted but the emails are missing from the inbox and I find them in the trash. I must be swiping a certain way but have no idea what I’m doing & I’ve tried swiping all sorts of ways to delete but am not able to figure it out. Can someone help? It’s very frustrating finding them

I stopped using it because I thought it was hot garbage. I use Outlook ios app for my work email and the gmail app for my gmail account.

deletes an email on an iPhone. Better to click on it and then hit the garbage icon underneath. Takes a moment longer but helps avoid mistaken deletions And Even if you accidentaly do delete something you can still find it in "all mail"
