Ian Rapoport said that if the New York Giants were to hire former Panthers and Giants general manager Dave Gettleman, his choice of head coach replacement would be Wilks.
really heard of him before this report...seems like he's an up and coming coordinator type, but if he has the leadership skills to be a HC i'd be all for it.
If you hire Wilks I want a veteran offensive coordinator that will not leave in a year. Think about it like the opposite of what the Rams did. They got McVay as the young HC and an established DC that isn't going anywhere.
Has worked under him in Chicago, SD and Carolina. I kind of like Rivera so that's not a bad thing in my book. Gettleman saw him up-close for a few years so maybe he knows this guy's got what it takes. Really hard as a fan to have an opinion one way or another on someone like this.
conferences I watched, Wilks' demeanor seems similar to Tomlin. Seems like a no nonsense guy who is really knowledgeable about football, and could certainly command/lead a room. Their career path is similar as well.
RE: RE: I would prefer a coach with an offensive background Â
If they can lure DeFilippo away from Philly as OC I would be more open to adding a defensive oriented HC.
Maybe we can promote Cignetti to OC /s
Kuechly is good ur he is li,e one concussion from forced retirement.
The name made me think of the same guy. I guess I need to stop watching trashy TV shows :-)

Since the Giants are likely to take a QB in the first round.

Are you concussed right now?
