Early reviews are pouring in and this might be the best Star Wars ever.
A few...
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is everything. Intense, funny, emotional, exciting. It’s jam-packed with absolutely jaw dropping moments and I loved it so, so much. I’m still shaking.
– Germain Lussier, io9
There aren’t enough words to express how much I LOVED Star Wars: The Last Jedi! It is mind-blowing! I’m in geek heaven!
– Jenna Busch, Legion of Leia
The Last Jedi is incredibly satisfying and hands down Mark Hamill’s best performance as Luke Skywalker
– Aaron Couch, Hollywood Reporter
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is so beautifully human, populist, funny and surprising. I cried when one POC heroine got her moment because films like these leave their mark on entire generations — and representation matters.
– Jen Yamato, Los Angeles Times
Star Wars: The Last Jedi floored me. Rian Johnson and the team nail so much — thrills, laughs, heart and most of all, pushing the characters/overall franchise a major step forward. Some really rich material to explore in the future. Can’t wait for more.
– Perri Nemiroff, Collider
Luke was right: This is not going to go the way you think. The Last Jedi will shatter you — and then make you whole again. Carrie Fisher has some unforgettable moments as Leia. Mark Hamill is crushing as a Luke who’s more broken and lost than your action figures from the ’70s. I think The Last Jedi may be the first Star Wars movie that’s not just about growing up, but also about growing old. New characters mature, veterans learn about becoming more powerful than you can possibly imagine. Despite a few surface similarities, The Last Jedi has a radically different structure from The Empire Strikes Back — and every other Star Wars movie.
– Anthony Breznican, Entertainment Weekly
Impressed with Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It makes some big, impressive and surprising moves that I definitely didn’t expect. Not all of the plot stuff is exactly perfect, but the character work is once again fantastic, and it’s just amazing to see Luke Skywalker back in action.
– Eric Eisenberg, CinemaBlend

You haven't seen it but it sucks? Why? Completely different director.
Going on Thursday at 7pm on a 6 story IMAX screen, can’t wait.
It was a very safe, vanilla movie but the look, style, and acting were fine. It was pretty good and the caveat all along was that if the story opened up in 8 and 7 truly was just an introductory/setup movie, it would be fine in the grand scheme of things.

?? Who the fuck are you?
Staaahppp
From who?
Still remember some cocksucker posting the Han Solo spoiler in a thread title before most of us saw Force Awakens. I hope that poster caught the fucking plague since then.
These are reviews from the Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly, IGN, Forbes, GQ, ect. I doubt they are going to pump up reviews and put their credit on the line if it wasn't true.

Fucking awful. Definitely ruined the movie for me a bit.
On the other hand, I do think Rian Johnson is capable of delivering a good, ORIGINAL Star Wars movie (unlike J.J. Abrams), so I'm hoping for the best.
There are plenty of people who have seen this and loved it but again, the fans cry “they are paid by disney to like it” or “of course they’ll love it, if they dont they wont be invited next time.”
If Abrahms directed the film, no doubt Rey would find Luke on a swamp-like planet just prior to finding out the Galactic Empire is building a planet killer.

Who was that idiot?
This is what I am thinking as well. That in the end Ben Solo will be the last jedi.
While the concept of Rey going to the Dark Side and Ben Solo coming back over to the Light is interesting, I can't see Rey doing so. Her character struck me as too "pure", which might not be the right word for what I am trying to convey but I just don't see it, which, of course, would then make the plot the major twist. I think she will absolutely struggle but I think the trailer was misleading and I don't think she was talking with Kylo Ren when she says she needs someone to show her her place in all of this. I will find out in a little over two days!

is Rey converts to the dark side but Kyle Ren switches as well to the light.

Do you really think Disney is going to turn one of their "princesses" evil? cmon. Rey is hugely popular among little girls.

I'll never understand the affection. Probably saw the originals at too old an age. Whatever, Disney milking nostalgia is nothing new. I was astounded that espiode 7? was an identical story to a New Hope. Unsurprising the dorks given early access have given glowing reviews - do you think they'd risk losing access with an honest take?

They also give bad reviews too. You sound like you really don’t want to see it or like it, sucks for you.
We live in a very cynical society.
We live in a very cynical society.
Some are understandably put off by the blatant milking of this or any franchise.
Indiana Jones is supposed to be fun, too. But Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is an abortion of a film that should have never been made. Even if it were passable (it's not), it would still have felt superfluous. But it made $3/4 Billion so I'm sure the film studios were happy.
Among the most shareholder obsessed public companies is milking the fuck out of a classic trilogy. It's fine if you're cool with it. But it shouldn't be difficult to understand why some roll their eyes as Disney continues (and continues, and continues...) to massacre that udder.

Doesn't bother me...

The Indiana Jones reboot was on the same level as the Star Wars prequels. What's coming out now for Star Wars is actual quality even if you don't agree on the direction they are taking. From the cinematography to the special effects to the acting - they are all very high quality. If you don't like the story that's fine of course.

Haven't seen TLJ yet obviously, but its funny to me because thats how I tend to rank them in my head.
12 more hours!!!!!!! May the Force be with us all and keep us spoiler free.
Agreed. I swap TFA and Rogue but the list is pretty close outside that IMO. I also liked Revenge of the Smith a hair more than Return of the Jedi.
Cant wait to hear your opinion of this movie as it seems we have the same order. Gotta stay away from other message boards cause spoiler free reviews from fans are hard to pick out trolling or just butthurt fanboys.
Any Star Wars for me is welcome and I like them all(except clones and phantom menace)

Probably #2 on my list and definitely ahead of TFA.

Same. I think RotJ sucks - definitely far below its two predecessors.
