NFT: Random thought of the day: Corey Feldman/Michael Jackson

So, I heard a Michael Jackson song on the way to work this morning, and my mind started drifting thinking about his legacy.... How such a great musical career was marred by all of the sexual abuse/pedophile allegations.

Then I started to think, right now, there is literally no stone being left unturned in regards to sexual abuse in Hollywood. Corey Feldman is coming out and naming names, and he has never once mentioned Michael Jackson as sexually abusing him despite spending tons of time with him as a vulnerable child, likely while he was being abused by others.

So I guess my random thought was, why didn't Michael Jackson take advantage of Corey Feldman when he probably easily could have if that was his thing, and thinking that, does that change your view on whether you believe him to be guilty of being a pedophile?

The guy was weird, bizarre, no doubt.... But was he really a sexual predator?

Anyways, like I said, random thought.

There is a great podcast about the whole Michael Jackson thing by a podcast called "Liar City"

Bascially, Jackson's accusers were known black mail artist/con men.

Feldman has frequently said that while there were inappropriate situations (Jackson having porn mags lying around), Jackson never touched him.

Yeah, I've heard him say as recently as this year....

the only thing Jackson was guilty of, was making young, vulnerable kids his "best friend" and making them feel like a million bucks, then unceremoniously dropping them when he got bored with them.

worked with MJ on the Smooth Criminal video and spent a few days at Neverland with him. He said it was weird as there were teenage boys always around but he never saw anything untoward or suspicious.

I think Feldman was referring to MJ becomming suspicious of friends and perhaps paranoid once these allegations surfaced, thus the falling out. Likely the smart thing to do at that point.

Is Wade Robson - the famed choreographer who Jackson befriended when he was younger. Robson defended Jackson. Even testified at the trial in favor of Jackson. He changed his tune once Jackson passes away.

Regarding Feldman and Michael Jackson, I think that line of thinking is far too similar to a certain someone's spokeswoman going on CNN and saying to Poppy Harlow, "Poppy, we need to make it clear there's a group of non-accusers that have not accused X of any sexual misconduct or anything illegal" as a way to suggest that this person didn't sexually assault the other teen and underage girls back in the day.

If the best evidence out there is what we learned from the two public cases (early 90s which was settled out of court, and early 00's where he was acquitted), then I have a hard time believing it.

that he was just so weird with such bizarre inappropriate habits that he made the suggestion very believable. I mean what grown man befriends children for sleepovers? We probably never know for certain, and it doesn't really matter at this point since he is long dead, but I doubt many parents would leave their children with him if he were still alive regardless of the proof or lack of.

Yeah, I don't care one way or the other....

I'm not some huge MJ fan trying to defend him or anything, the Corey Feldman story was fresh on the mind and my mind made that connection back to MJ.

MJ was screwed up and never had a proper childhood

I don't think he is a pedophile but wants to provide other children a fun childhood imo

and it was emotional, and probably some kind of sublimated sexuality (what isn't?), yet not pedophilia. That said, it was close enough, that I wouldn't let my kids around such people.

I believe him that he never touched Corey Feldman. And for Feldman to have never gone after him when he had all that money doesn�t make any sense.

Weird is not the same thing as being a pedophile - I always thought it was a money grab and for Feldman to now come out and accuse a bunch of other people but not Jackson I think says all you need to know about the truth of the situation
