Future role for Kevin Gilbride Jr?

DC Gmen Fan : 12/12/2017 10:49 am
Do you guys see him as moving up in the organization to maybe OC at some point?
I would assume the new coach has the deciding

Power on that, no?
Probably

I guess I was asking do you see a new coach keeping/promoting him? Just speculation obviously.
Why are you concerned about him specifically?

What about the other position coaches?
If spags gets fired

I'd expect all the coaches on the staff to go as well.
personally I think

a deal was struck when Gilbride stepped down and retired between he and the Mara's to keep his son employed inside the organization.

I'd have to see him in a bigger role to be able to evaluate him fairly.
Hell, with this team

I wouldn't be surprised if he wound up being hired as head coach.
Have the Giants TE's played well under him...

I don't think so...
Agree with Rory....

Somehow, this guy has a job.....he has done nothing with the TE's.....I really think, Gilbride stepped down and said nothing, so his son would have a job, and add something to his unimpressive resume....

What amazes me is he never played TE or WR, and yet he got coaching gigs for this in college and the NFL....in college, he was a backup qb, at U. of Hawaii.....

Because I was surprised he was still on the staff esp coaching a position that has not been a NYG strength.
Personally I'd clean out the entire aux coaching staff

it's one of those things you can't really know for sure but I would guess that group is one of if not the worst in the league at the moment. We have looked poorly coached for a long long time, and we have been terribly at developing out JAGs into solid starters who can at least be counted on not to fuck up. The second injuries hit we look like the fucking three stooges at whatever position group is undermanned and inevitably end up bring in people off the street to replace guys who should know the system better and have been working with the coaching staff the entire time.
I think gilbride is alright

He's had the bottom of the barrel to work with until Engram, and Engram is playing really well. Not sure our TEs coach is major point of weakness considering we've been getting by on UDFAs for the past 5 years.
I think every single coach from this staff should be fired.

Let the new GM and HC hand pick their own staff. Not only has this team been an overall disappointment the last few years, with last year the lone exception, but there hasn't been any significant sign of improvement in player development.

How do you know he has "done nothing" with the TE's? And it is not at all uncommon for position coaches to have played other positions at some point. Ben McAdoo was a TE coach before becoming QB coach. Bill Callahan is regarded as one of the better OL coaches in the NFL, and he was a QB in college.

I have no idea if KG Jr is a good coach or not, and I suspect he will be on the unemployment line with his coaching colleagues.

Up and coming mind with good bloodlines like Kyle Shannahan
