Neither does Apple. The guy has no self awareness. None. Dude, you have had an awful season. Your team has had an awful season. Everything surrounding you with regards to the media is negative and most of it justified. And what are you doing? Tweeting day noon and night like a 16 year old B-level actor.
How about carrying a low profile? Nope...not this guy. He's never wrong. He's a victim. How dare anyone accuse this kid of anything. Go ahead and tweet there Eli...you fucking moron.
Is it me or does including #MVP show a complete and utter lack of awareness following the pseudo media-storm from last week of tweeting Rod Smith during the game?
Again- I think it is a NICE gesture from the guy to an opponent who got hurt, but should he have thought it out a little better?

Meanwhile, you sit around posting on BBI bitching about a 22 year old tweeting...
Normally I'd say this is a non-story, but part of me feels like he's sort of doing this on purpose.
Who knows. Tough dude to like right now.
+1 Spags just sat him down about his Sunday tweeting, he apologized... now he tweets #MVP for an opposing player within the division.
A young kid having a tough year / struggling in his job with his mother's surgery... but wouldnt be terribly surprised if he's cut in the offseason either.

I'm not a struggling DB that has been just as bad off the field as I was on the field. I didn't run out of the film room bitching that the coaches and players are being too mean.
Are you kidding me? Last I checked we all bitch about players here. And last I checked a guy like Eli Apple who hasn't done shit here should probably carry a lower profile than he has the last two weeks.
From a Eagles fan co-worker, Snacks wished him well too.. maybe should throw his name in too..
Did Radar hijack two posters here? Are you guys that fucking dense that you can't see the difference in optics with a guy like Snacks and a guy like Apple?
Just stop being dumb and stop defending this child. He might have a good career one day. Maybe he even plays well here for the Giants but Eli Apple at this moment in time is a 22 year old moron. He needs to shut his fucking mouth and stay the hell off social media or at least stop posting glowing BJ reports about opposing players.
Snacks is out there leading the world in DT play!!! Christ...just stop.

What does any of that have to do with a 22 year old tweeting on his day off.
Sunday? Hang him by the nuts... Today, who cares.
THe point was it was ironic you bitching about him tweeting, while you sit at home or work posting on BBI.

There's nothing ironic about it. The point makes no sense. Apple is public enemy number one around the Giants and their fans right now. He's TWEETING during Giants games and praising opposing players! How on earth is my posting and complaining about him ironic? It's not. Nearly every Giants fan hated Eli Apple two weeks ago. And since then he's posted about opposing players during the games. Giants fans don't give two shits about some idiot on a message board. No one cares about what I say or do during a Giants game. Just stop.

Of course ironic, it is the definition of irony. You are pissed Apple is tweeting when he should be working(today) and you are posting about him tweeting while you should be working, so you are both tweeting/posting at work..I presume you are working; which is presumptuous on my part. Of course if you are not working, then it wouldn't be ironic and you would be right.
I agree he should be fined for Sunday. I could careless if he tweets today.
If ELi Apple is public enemy #1, what does that McAdoo and Reese?

Could've quit while you were behind. And kept on going instead. Rock on.
but you've gotta wonder if he's just trying to push buttons at this point. Regardless if this comment, the kids got his head planted firmly in his ass.
I am working as we speak. Multi tasking... I also don't get paid 8 million per. Although if I was, i'd still be posting here lol. Point is, I am working and there are no optics. None.
It's not even that Apple SHOULD be working as he's tweeting. I don't think his staring at a phone on a Sunday is encroaching on his ability to play. Hardly. It's just the optics. The guy has had as bad a year as any DB in the entire league and he's posting shit during a Giants game. Shit about the opposing player! That's not good. His agent can't be happy. I assure you the Giants are definitely not happy. Apple is an idiot. One day he will realize his errors I promise you that. And one of those errors is posting shit about the NFL as he himself can't even play. He needs to carry a low profile.
Jason Witten, Tom Brady, and a bunch of other rivals Â
gave Eli Manning lots of respect during Benchgate. All of them should be fired from their teams.
One of the worst analogies I've ever heard.
1. Brady/Witten (and others like Ben and Rivers, by the way) - were asked by reporters about the issue. They didn't offer it up on twitter.
2. Each has had linkages to Eli over the course of 15+ year NFL careers. It makes sense that they'd have an opinion on the issue. Eli's been a friend and competitor/rival to each for well over a decade, and has been linked to most through the famous 2004 draft.
3. All of the players you listed haven't been mouthing off, breaking team rules, giving zero effort in various games, and been healthy scratches for a month now.
4. As others have said, so soon after being reprimanded by Spags regarding blowing a Dallas player during the Giants game.. this has the feel that he's trolling the Giants at this point. What relationship does he have with Wentz ? They've faced each other 3x ?
5. Why offer up your opinion that he's MVP of the league? (in part because he tore you up in a week 3 comeback) Again, feels like trolling NYG and their fans.
In isolation this twitter isn't a big deal - obviously - but everyone here with a negative opinion is taking the bigger picture of this guy's behavior into account here.
RE: Jason Witten, Tom Brady, and a bunch of other rivals Â
Agree, I don’t follow twitter but I’m sure a lot of other players wished him well too
Apple’s acted like a jackass much of this season, but this isn’t a big deal IMO
Really?

Was Snacks tweeting highlights of opponents during our game or attaching #MVP hashtags to his well-wishes?
They don't have to be the same.

Not to kick him when he is down, but Reese really had a big hand in screwing up this whole franchise.

Which one of these players doesn't belong:
Witten, Brady and Eli Apple.
The sky is falling what are we to do
