Total wins by non-common opponents in parentheses, including future games with automatic pickups.
To pick ahead you want to get a smaller total (i.e. pickups are bad). Possible pickups from future games are in brackets.
We can project the tiebreaks with CHI and TB to go in favor of the Giants.
Tiebreak is leaning in favor of IND over NYG.
Other tiebreaks (CLE, SF, HOU) are very close.
1 CLE 0-13 (NYG 106 CLE 106) [NYG can pickup 18, CLE can pickup 20]
2 NYG 2-11
3 IND 3-11 (IND 80 NYG 83) [IND can pickup 17, NYG can pickup 21]
4 SF 3-10 (NYG 66 SF 66) [NYG can pickup 13, SF can pickup 14]
5 HOU 4-9 (HOU 80 NYG 81) [HOU can pickup 17, NYG can pickup 20]
6 CHI 4-9 (NYG 94 CHI 101) [NYG can pickup 13, CHI can pickup 12]
7 TB 4-9 (NYG 102 TB 113) [NYG can pickup 16, TB can pickup 15]
(Teams with 5 wins: NYJ, CIN, DEN, WAS - giants can't pick behind WAS)
HOU pick traded to CLE
Giants finish 2-14: Best pick #1, worst #2
Giants finish 3-13: Best pick #1 (#1 unlikely), worst #4
Giants finish 4-12: Best pick #2, worst pick #7 (#6 or #7 very unlikely)
Giants finish 5-11: Best pick #2, worst pick #10 (#9 or #10 very unlikely)
This weekend:
CLE win over BAL is helpful
SF win over TEN is helpful
CHI win over DET is helpful
HOU win over JAC is helpful
TB win over ATL is helpful
ARI win over WAS is helpful for IND tiebreak
OAK win over DAL is helpful for IND tiebreak
CIN win over MIN is helpful for IND tiebreak
BUF win over MIA is helpful for IND tiebreak
PIT win over NE is helpful for IND tiebreak
The NYG-SF tiebreak might not have been decided by then.
(Note that the NYG-SF head-to-head result is not the tiebreaker for draft order. The NYG-SF tiebreak is described above and is essentially even).

Assuming the NYG lose Sunday, they could have locked up the 2nd pick essentially with a loss on Christmas Eve in Arizona. I don’t think a win in week 17 would have changed anything because, at worst, we’d be tied with SF at 3 wins and everyone else would have 4 wins. No?

Thanks Ray.
Now that the colts lost what was a winnable game last night, this thing is going to come down to the wire. If SF is gonna get 1 more win it’s likely going to be Sunday. If they don’t, what I think happens is Indy and SF lose out and the NYG F it all up by beating Washington in week 17, leaving all 3 at 3-13. And my assumption is they then pick 4th.
As long as he doesn't throw his players under the bus again anytime soon.
