Kristaps Porzingis says that he isnt in significant pain at the moment and its a good sign that hes standing on his own. Hes uncertain about playing Saturday but he says hell know more after being examined tomorrow.
-Absolutely love KP but he's a bit of a creeper for a big NBA star when it comes to social media. He's consistently getting outed for trying to pick up models on instagram lol This time Jen Selter. I obviously don't give a shit what the guy does in his personal life just seems weird he needs to go about it this way given who he is.
-Really like what I saw from Frank
-Against my better judgement I like Beasley. Yeah he can be maddeningly but guy can flat out score and has an interesting way of going about it.
-Huge game from Lee
-Arguably the player most debated in the Knicks universe, KOQ brings some attributes nobody on this team can. He's physical, good passer, clearly vocal on defense. #TeamKOQ
Around the league-
Drummond 12 points, 19 rebounds, 8 assists
Ingram 26, 6 and 6... sucked last year but kid is going to be very, very good
Kuzma 20 and 7
KAT 30 points, 14 boards, 5 assists, 5 blocks... trying his hand at being KP (jk)
KD 36 and 11 with 7 assists, 15-23!
Jordan Bell 8 points, 6 boards, 8 assists 2 steals over only 24 minutes...Warriors pay 3 million to an awful Bulls team for Draymond 2.0, seems fair.

You have to hope the Bulls 2nd rounder the Knicks have falls in the top 35. You can get a nice player there.
agree. For all the hype, Barclays is pretty terrible.
last night was another patented "one rebound" game for Lance. I get it that he's a talker on defense and hustles...but I've never heard of an energy player that size who just flat out gives you nothing on the boards.
Here's another fun stat. Guess how many blocked shots he has this season. Fucking ZERO.
No he's not. He might be the oldest second year player in the league (besides guys who played pro overseas).
Oh c'mon. You'd prefer those 2 over better players/player at the same rate? The two of them are making 10 million this season, I sure as hell could find a better way to spend that (and next season that goes up to 11). If I gave you 21 million to spend over the next 2 seasons there is a 0% chance this is how you would choose to spend it.
He can't make it 2 weeks without an injury scare.
And when isnt banged up he's getting pushed around and pushed to the floor which exposes him to injury all over again.
Injury/Physicality is a big problem for him.
yeah, those deals still suck. The Baker contract was, is, and will remain dumb on multiple levels. The Lance deal was dumb as well, but he had at least shown some semblance of being a back of the rotation guy by the end of 2015 when he got that deal. If he had maintained that level of play the deal wouldn't look as bad. They should have just kept Galloway - who was better and signed for less money. Another stellar decision from Phil/Mills.
Everyone had Alridge put out to pasture and suddenly he's back to being a star at 32. Maybe Melo can dream big lol. In all honesty Melo should consider joining Popp (they liked each other during the Olympics) might be the best spot to have a late career surge.
He's finisher. Funny when we got him he was advertised as a 3 point shooter but he's so much more effective and a cutter. He's got great hands around the basket and if giving an inch of space can put the ball in the hole.

really like Dougie but it's amazing how few assists he puts up (and that's for his career too) last 88 minutes (3 games, 0 assists) hard to pull off

I really think he is the perfect example of a guy who was miscast. The Bulls (#1 are a disaster of a franchise) but #2 wanted to use him as a primary scorer and that's not really his game, he's not great at shot creation and then he went to OKC and they wanted him to be Kyle Korver. Kid moves really well without the ball, has really soft hands around the basket AND can shoot. I don't want to overrate him but he's very solid.
Any rational reasonable fan is. And I'm a bigger Lance fan than most. But those 2 guys are bad contracts- no getting around it.
And its not about those guys getting paid- good for them. It's an opportunity cost for other players. Jonathan Simmons got 3 years 18 million and the last year isn't even guaranteed. Would you take him or Lance/Baker?
Baker does some things that help but he's a fringe nba player/ mininum salary guy.

No one's complaining about them now.

I can't think of another drafted guy getting a 1+1 after his first year for that much guaranteed money. And because it's a 1+1 he basically has a no-trade for this season. All for an old rookie who shot 37% last year and 27% from three. It's just so bizarre.
food is good and vibe is getting better, except when clueless clowns are already chanting okafor.
i have only sat down low so maybe its cruddy up top though, in the darkness

He's getting pushed around? I don't see that at all.
players who are old for their experience level have limited upside and/or room for improvement.
Frank, Baker, McDermott, Kanter and O'Quinn. Let the entire game revolve around O'Quinn at the post. He's an excellent passer and both Kanter and McDermott can finish. This will also force Frank to shoot and drive more. Lee and Beasley off the bench when the scoring lags and Jack to backup.
Which 2 players need to start and play 30 minutes to ensure a lottery pick for the Knicks?
OKC
@Charlotte
Boston
@Detroit
Philly
@Chicago
@San Antonio
@ NO
5-3 would be nice.
1) THJ does not still suck. He's added quite a bit to his game.
2) I didn't compare Burke to Covington. I compared the notion of saying one guy tore up the DL and making a blanket statement about others i.e. b/c Fredette failed, others would.
3) Burke failed early because he thought he was better than he was and played in an entitled way. He also was undersized. While he obviously remains 6'1", he is a lot sturdier of build now. Do I think he will be a stud at the NBA level ever? No. But I think he would be a better option than Sessions because Burke i.e. he'd be a bench option.
Especially with the way he described it in his locker room interview. That he felt a "shock" pain but continued to play. But it felt unstable so he asked to be pulled out.
Praying to the basketball gods it's just an over reaction on my part and he's a quick healer like he was with the ankle (that also looked severe but wasn't)

If it was anything serious zero chance he is doing his post game standing up with no brace or ice..

Kyle O'Quinn has thrown 78 passes to Doug McDermott this year, 20 of which have ended up in a Dougie bucket/a KOQ assist. McDermott shoots 81.5% on attempts from O'Quinn.

So did they do the MRI? Was an MRI needed?
Without an MRI, that information is absolutely useless.

Porzingis is being listed as questionable for Carmelo Anthonys Garden return Saturday but it would seem unlikely he is back that soon

According to the post they did an mri
Meanwhile, exciting highlight film on Frank linked. Some of the plays he makes are a bit astonishing. My favorite is the defense against Randle.
