The DET win over CHI just put SF in a better position to pick ahead of NYG based on tiebreak, for now. It also helped IND. Would be nice to go into WAS game without possibility of losing draft position, but that doesn't seem likely.
The tiebreak between NYG and each team is given after the record (total wins by non-common opponents, including future games with automatic pickups. To win the tiebreak (pick ahead) you want to get a smaller total (i.e. pickups are bad). Possible pickups from future games are in brackets.
We can project the tiebreaks with CHI and TB to go in favor of the Giants.
Tiebreak is leaning in favor of IND over NYG.
Other tiebreaks (CLE, SF, HOU) are very close.
1 CLE 0-13 Tiebreak NYG 106* CLE 106 [NYG can pickup 18, CLE can pickup 19]
2 NYG 2-11
3 IND 3-11 Tiebreak IND 80 NYG 84 [IND can pickup 17, NYG can pickup 20]
4 SF 3-10 Tiebreak SF 66 NYG 67 [SF can pickup 13, NYG can pickup 12]
5 CHI 4-10 Tiebreak NYG 94 CHI 102 [NYG can pickup 13, CHI can pickup 12]
6 HOU 4-9 Tiebreak HOU 80 NYG 82^ [HOU can pickup 17, NYG can pickup 19]
7 TB 4-9 Tiebreak NYG 102 TB 113 [NYG can pickup 16, TB can pickup 14]
Teams with 5 wins: NYJ, CIN, DEN, WAS - giants can't pick behind WAS

HOU pick traded to CLE
Giants finish 2-14: Best pick #1, worst #2
Giants finish 3-13: Best pick #1 (#1 unlikely), worst #4
Giants finish 4-12: Best pick #2, worst pick #7 (#6 or #7 very unlikely)
Giants finish 5-11: Best pick #2 (#2 unlikely), worst pick #10 (#9 or #10 very unlikely)

IND has at BAL, HOU.
IND has at BAL, HOU.
Houston is winnable for Indy. And SF should give Tenn. a game. Marcus is good for a pick or 2.
p.s.--And they're home tomorrow against a Ravens team that's had its share of clunkers this year even if they are 7-6.

I have a weird feeling the Browns are winning tomorrow.
Quote:
They have the Bears next week and they close the season against a Steelers team that could be resting its starters. It wouldn't take a miracle for them to win two more games.

yes, that would be weird...
