Okay so I was all set to go with Aaron Rodgers over Case Keenum (and Alex Smith), but on Saturday Jordan Howard and Keenan Allen shit the bed for my opponent and Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill came through bigtime for me. So now I'm thinking maybe I should play it safe/conservative and go with Keenum (whose been pretty consistent the last six games, albeit trending downward).
On the other hand, he still has QB Brees, WRs Antonio Brown and DeAndre Hopkins, RB Freeman, TE Brate, and K Zuerlein to go vs WRs Gordon and Landry, RB Bell, TE Engram, and K Lutz for me, so it may be premature for me to be going all prevent defense on him.
It's a PPR league. What say you? Stick with rusty Rodgers (on the road vs Panthers) or switch to the guy with the seemingly safer floor in Keenum (at home in a dome vs Bengals).
But Rodgers is a good dodger as we all know, and I wouldn't be surprised if Adams and Nelson both have 100-yard days. The Panther back end has been springing some leaks lately...allowed big games to Thielen, Thomas, Kearse and Anderson in the last 3 weeks alone.
Also, I could see GB-CAR finishing something like 38-35 and both teams throwing all game, meaning big points for Rodgers. You beat CAR through the air, and it's the same with GB.
Meanwhile, MIN can just look at last week's tape of Jordan Howard running all over CIN without Burfict. He's out this week again. Murray and McKinnon should carry the load...Keenum isn't going to have to do much.
In my most lucrative league I was over a 20 point underdog by the projections. I had Hunt, T. Hill, and H. Henry go last night. And not only that but he has Fournette who looks like he is not playing today.
Imo, this is the most important week of fantasy if you play for money. So, far I am off to a good start in the leagues where I am still in it.
I disagree. Why even play him if he gets the quick hook?
and Robbie, Brady owns Pittsburgh throughout his career and gets Gronk back with no Shazier in Pit and possibly no Haden. I think he will be a fine start this week (top 3 or 4 QB), but I'd still start Rodgers over him.

pj, I was just reading about Brady's success over PIT. If you look at the overall rankings PIT looks really good defensively. Howver, once Shazier went down they have given up a ton of points and, like you said, Gronk is probably going to have a field day against them.
The part that worries me about Rodgers is that they may just continue to pound the ball because they have been so effective with it lately and that is with Hundley. With Rodgers you cannot just stack the box. It might allow Williams to have a huge day. I think Rodgers will make a lot of business decisions today. When bones break they grow stronger. But, it seems like once you break your collarbone you are more susceptible to breaking it again. With Rodgers' proceedure with the plate make it less likely that'll happen again? I don't know but I would bet he doesn't want to be slammed down into the ground again. I think they play it safe with him in the gameplan and just by talking tp Rodgers. I would expect to see a lot of rollouts and moving pockets with quick throws that will give him the option to throw it away if need be.
Jamaal Williams
Perine
Hyde
Davante Adams
Cooks

Davante Adams
Cooks
Williams and Adams are definites. After that, flip a coin. Cooks has been dreadful lately but he always explodes every now and then. If you want upside I would go with him. Hyde might be the safest play. Has Perine done much of anything lately? I haven't paid attention.
Cooks has a higher ceiling of 15-17 points with a lower floor of 2-6. Remember Gronk is back and I still # 1 in NE
I like both today. I went with Bortles over Stafford. Bortles has looked really good lately.

ok so Williams as my RB 2 an Adams as my WR2. So, the flex... deciding between Hyde and Perine.
I don't think Foles will be significantly worse than Wentz, and can still put up good numbers in that offense. Plus the Giants historically struggle against backup QB's, so I'm leaning Foles. Mariota has been dinged up and has only had I believe 2 games above 20 fantasy points this season, and never broke 23. Am I right here...?
Also at WR, TE and FLEX
Right now I have in:
WR - Josh Gordon
WR - Dede Westbrook
TE - Jimmy Graham
FLEX - Evan Engram
Other possibilities:
WR - Stephon Diggs
WR - Sammy Watkins
Out
WR - Amari Cooper
RB - Tevin Coleman
RB - Tarik Cohen (played)
IR
QB - Carson Wentz
WR - Odell Beckham
Crazy but probably Bortles... He's been top 5 I believe past 3-4 weeks and his young WR's are really starting to emerge.

Mariota has been pretty bad this year. I don't think he has got 20 fantasy points this year. I'd go Foles.
I put him in my flex so a WR would be on the table.
Pick ONE for STANDARD scoring:
Rex Burkhead @PIT
Al Morris @OAK
Dez Bryant @OAK
Or, I could pick up and play one of the following:
Kerwyn Williams @WASH
Chris Ivory vs HOU
Gio Bernard @MIN (Mixon OUT again today)
I have Goodwin in.
Not thinking of Lewis since no TDs and I already have Brady and Gronk.
Woods is just back from injury but I like him next week.
I am most torn on Perine being the only RB in town but Cards are tough run defense.
2. I am trying to roster block my opponent for next week, Week 16.
I have 1 free spot and 2 QBs I could drop (my QB is Brady)
Ben Roethlisberger
Jared Goff
What is the priority for the below FAs and would you drop both QBs to get all 3?:
Mike Davis at Dallas
Dede Westbrook at San Fran
Steelers D/st at Hou
His QB: Cam newton (vs Tampa) Alex Smith (vs Miami)
His RBs: Bell Lynch Riddick (injured) Alf Morris Rod Smith (Elliot back)
His WRs: Brown Crabtree Hilton Desean Jackson Sterling Shepard Randall Cobb
His D/st: Lions
I don't want to face Steeler D on christmas. Would he use Goff/Ben over Cam/Alex Smith?

Burkhead without question
I really appreciate the advice and it makes a lot of sense. It'd be tough for him to start Goff over Cam or Alex Smith next week.
His Lions D/st play the bengals anyway so he may just roll with them or add the bears vs Browns.
Not a Mike Davis fan?
I dropped Goff for Westbrook.
I have Ivory i am going to drop at kickoff..
You would add Mike Davis over the Steelers?
I also have JuJu Smith-Shuster to use if I am so inclined.
Pretty much going with this today
QB: Big Ben over Rodgers , Ben probably one of 3 QBs I’d play over Rodgers
RB: Kenyan Drake and Alex Collins, I really believe these 2 are 2nd or 3rd round picks next year at worst in your fantasy draft.
WRs: Davante Adams and Devin Funchess
TE: Gronk smash
K: Prater already played got me 9 points, so not bad
D: Saints , o please let’s see Bryce Petty implode
Going against Cam Newton , Alvin Kamara and Carlos Hyde , Antonio Brown and Larry Fitzgerald, Hunter Henry who got 5.8 , Matt Bryant , and Denver D who only got 5 points.
What you guys think of my chances? Any advice appreciated, let’s get em today!

I'd rather your opponent pick him up. He's getting snaps, but he shouldn't scare you if your opponent picks him up. He really hasn't done much, and keep Big Ben just in case for insurance, more valuable. You won't play Davis in all likelihood, and he's not a great play next week, either, so if your opponent gets him, then so be it.

Yes. How many starting RBs are on waiver? PIT hasn't been the same since Shazier went down. Yeah, they could play well against Houston but Davis is the better add.

It really matters little how the Steelers have looked recently. What matters is that Pittsburgh is playing Houston week 16 and that will be a good fantasy DEF to play. If I want a defense with a high potential for turnovers, going up against T.J. Yates or Tom Savage is a nice matchup.
Seahawks are going up against the Cowboys next week who will have Ezekiel Elliott back. Time of Possession will be a limiting factor for the Seattle offense, and I expect 'Zeke's return to really charge up that team. Mike Davis is a scrub and they can't run block over there in Seattle, plus McKissic will eat into his snaps, and with what's left over, I'd want those 6 points from the RB position on my opponent's roster. I don't want the Steelers DEF week 16 against me.
I also have JuJu Smith-Shuster to use if I am so inclined.

I think you have a decent chance. But I would tweak that lineup. I like Jamaal Williams, but I really think the Steelers are going to give Smith-Schuster a lot of balls today. Belichick is likely to try to focus efforts on stopping Antonio Brown and Lev Bell, and Smith-Schuster could be a big recipient of what should be a high-scoring game with a lot of fantasy points to go around. I would play Juju as your flex.
Collins and Adams is the best 1-2 combination. But if I must stay in the parameters of your question, it would be Collins and Woods. Collins is a clear top 7 play today.
4:25 game, just an FYI..I think you mentioned "tonight" a couple times with regards to NE/PIT
DAL @ OAK is the night game.
Just wanted to make sure you (or others) weren't planning to make a lineup decision based on that being a night game.

might be good for Cooks owners

Yeah, just referencing later today.
Then, in the other two leagues I have Antonio Brown and now it looks like I have no shot without him.
I'd say that puts me at a disadvantage, but I had the highest score this week without him, so who knows.
Can't expect a game like that from Gurley next week though too. Most of my players hit the end zone (Tyreek Hill, Cooks, Drake, Gurley), but Gurley was the difference.
