I think we're all real excited for this one. I'm going to go get a burrito, and start watching the dvr at around 2:15. This way I don't have to watch the commercials, and end the pain quicker. I would have used the word shitshow to describe the game, but after eating a buritto, there will still be time for that later.
finally get a TD on an opening drive, and then the XP is blocked. Can't stand prosperity. Drive took too many plays. No downfield plays. Everything is 10 yards or less.
I say keep Eli for another 3 years after that drive. Â
Can't really blame Giants fans for not going to this game. Although, it is kind of funny how they made such a big deal over Eli getting benched only to sell their tickets to Eagles fans.
Mara made the decision on JPP,in his own words. Perhaps others agreed. But given the force of his statements, it's not as though there was going to be any doubt. And he's still the real GM - ( New Window )
Yeah, sign a guy with 7 fingers to a longterm deal. Genius stuff by Jerry Reese.
Abrams put together the financials. They are almost worse than giving the deal in the first place.
Reese is the GM who shouldn't have brought him back in the first place.
Abrams played a role in it too. Let’s not just give him a pass on the idea “he was just following orders”.
Reese is the GM. He doesn't want JPP, he doesn't get paid. Stop with the excuses for the former GM. Next you're going to tell me his awful drafts over the past 6 years aren't his fault, either.

Where have I ever given Reese a pass? I’ve been one of the most vocal critics of him on this board.
What’s ridiculous is just thinking Abrams gets a pass as well.

No one even mentioned Abrams in the first place except you. Reese was the head guy who made the decisions, he gets the blame more than anyone else. Not rocket science.
play for the TD, but that was terrible coverage and technique by Mills. You don't jump a route or bite on inside moves when you're in man with no safety help on the outside.

NEVER use any pass rush moves? Never a club, swim, spin etc. I was taught those moves in high school. They literally titty tush every passing down. JPP laughing to the bank.

And Reese gave him the okay to do it because Reese wanted him back, numbnuts.

It was clever playcalling. That's what happens when you run a bunch of slants and then a SLUGGO. Something McAdoo never figured out.

who cares about draft position. beat these dirty birds...cant stand Philty.
such a silly comment, draft position is goal #1 at this point. This game means nothing!
so are you guys saying I should take my 30 plus years as a fan and root for a loss? I cant stand philly with all my might and will never root for them to beat us.

if they Giants want a qb in the draft then they can move up for one. I WILL NEVER ROOT FOR A LOSS. with that said, I will not throw a remote if they lose this game, but to actively hope they lose, i can not do that.

so you are willing to give up multiple future starter for one meaningless win?
trade up? you want to trade multiple high draft picks for a win?

They’re taking themselves out of the Darnold and Rosen zone......

Do you want to "beat" the eagles now when the season doesn't matter, or be a team that can beat them when it does matter? Don't root for losses. Root for them to get their shit together. Winning this game doesn't do that.

It's obvious some are. Some think Eli will play until he's 50.

Amen. I live down near Philly, surrounded by Eagles fans. Beating them would be sweet no matter what. And if we lose, whatever, draft pick, yay.
But I’m always rooting for the Giants to win. Especially against the Eagles.

A win would drop the team from #2 to #4 in the draft.
And let the chips fall where they may. They will get their future QB anyhow
and thats the only thing we need? How about that o-line? care to address that, well a win might make us have to trade possibly high picks to secure a QB when we really need our round 2 and 3 picks to get starters so we can rebuild this team.

belittling Giants fans on this board for rooting for a win is beyond me. I thaught I have seen it all, but I guess not. Listen I get it, a loss might help them get Rosen or Darnold but who knows if they will be the savior. We dont know what they will bring. If we Win and get 6th pick in draft then so be it.
A qb will be there when we pick.. but bashing fellow Giants fans for rooting for a division win is beyond me.

Relax. They will be picking high in the draft. Let the chips fall.

Unless the Niners win
I don't think they'll beat Tennessee. If they do, that'll move us to #3.
(Indianapolis is almost guaranteed not to win another game)
Eli is having a good game. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence 14 weeks into the season though.
This is the issue, football is a team game. The offense is playing well, Eli can play well and the offense suck, Eli can not play well and the offense does well, however when multiple parts fail together the offense will suck. Each player must do their own jobs well enough for the certain play to work.
If you're qb has over 200 yards with only three incompletions then chances are the ol is doing its job, the qb is doing his job and the wr's are doing their jobs, sprinkle in some mistakes by the defense as well
Lol. Seriously? After the week they had and a new coaching staff getting less than a week to prepare, you’re wondering why they got their asses kicked? Jeezus
I could see that last week was a weird week, but this week Sullivan actually had time to come up with a better offensive game plan. Who knows, but this may be the first time all year the Giants seem to have an idea on offense
The right coach was already there on staff. Football is a game of emotions. McAdoo is an X and 0s guy. He reached his pinnacle as an offensive coordinator.
Spags shows emotion and is interacting with his players as they come off the field.

Same here. Surrounded by Eagle fans here too,and beating them anytime is great.
If we can win and somehow knock them out of home field or give other teams a blueprint on how to beat them, and in turn somehow help deny them a SB, I'll have no trouble sacrificing a draft spot.
Lol. Seriously? After the week they had and a new coaching staff getting less than a week to prepare, you’re wondering why they got their asses kicked? Jeezus
Well, people said without Mac they should be able to do much better. 10 points at home. Pretty sure Sully was the OC the entire season, too.

It's clear that McAdoo was running the offense, even after he "handed off" duties to Sullivan.
This is the first real game for the Spags/Sullivan regime. It will be a short regime, but still...
Shows how dink dink gets guys hurt. Gallman was fine. But you see it in this O. Today they are smartly catch and fall down mode . adjust to ball. But even so.
Some of you clowns are acting like Darnold or Rosen is the 2nd coming of Tom Brady. Fucking A man. Fuck Philadelphia. Go Giants. We draft where we draft. Maybe at 5 we get Lamar Jackson and he's literally Jesus in a uniform. Who knows.

The draft isn't totally random. QBs are hard as hell to find. You maximize your chances of your scouts getting the pick right by being in the best slot possible.
A QB will be there? Sure. It doesn't mean it will be the right one. And obviously nothing is guaranteed. Why turn your nose at trying to improve your own odds.
If there is a QB you want, you move up and get him. They did it before when they picked 4th and it turned out OK.
Tons of good things are happening for the future of this team right now.
And anyone thinking anyone from the interim coach down to the aging QB is going to sit back and take a beating for a draft pick, doesn't understand how getting a job fucking works.
Lol. Seriously? After the week they had and a new coaching staff getting less than a week to prepare, you’re wondering why they got their asses kicked? Jeezus
Well, people said without Mac they should be able to do much better. 10 points at home. Pretty sure Sully was the OC the entire season, too.
Well you’re seeing the results this week, no? WRs actually running routes to get them open, throwing downfield much more, slant and goes, etc. There is definitely a difference in the game plan as opposed to McAdoos conservative nonsense. Sully may have been the OC but McAdoo was calling the plays most of the season and you can bet your ass he had a ton of input even after he “gave up” play calling.
And let the chips fall where they may. They will get their future QB anyhow

We get it you want a loss but don't whine about someone else cheering for a win. We have no idea how this season plays out yet and calling a fan out for cheering for a win is asinine
losing your QB of the future, or possibly making the team give up picks to move up to get their QB? The Eagles seeding? Really?
There isn’t a consensus ‘can’t miss’ guy. Some people want Darnold, some want Rosen, some Mayfield, etc. We will get the guy whether we pick at 2 or 4.

Sure I do. It's marrying the boss's daughter, right?

such a silly comment, draft position is goal #1 at this point. This game means nothing!
Why is it silly for a fan to want the Giants to beat a divisional rival and possibly hinder their playoff chances a bit?
hinder there playoff chances? They have one the division the only thing that is hindering there playoff chances is wentz is hurt.
You can root for a win all you want, but to say "who cares" about draft position? Um most of the forward thinkers...
Also seeding. Eagles lose a couple here won't be #1 seed
Yeah - a loss here damages their chances of getting the #1 seed, and I think having home field advantage is the only way the Eagles are making it to the Superbowl.
I want the draft position but it's hard to out-tank teams like Indianapolis and Chicago.
Who knows.
Again... Fuck Philadelphia
Exactly what im saying, there will be a QB wherever they pick, I actually prefer Jackson. Let the chips fall. this season has been from hell. let us fans who suffered thru this shit show enjoy a division win. doesnt make us any more or less of the fans here rooting for a loss.

jackson is trash lol.
not a fan, and while i agree fuck philly and it would be nice to beat em, the small amount of enjoyment i get doesnt really equate to the help it could be to this franchise to have a shot at the top 2 QBs in the draft.
if we do win and we end up picking 4+ id take mayfield

He had less than a week to put HIS touch on the game plan. Come on now. You can’t be this ignorant
Maybe if they win 3 in row to end season then Spags is the answer. This team clearly is playing for him. Might not be the worse thing in the world.
hell no. his defense was horrible this year, we have seen him as a HC. ill pass...what a team with a serious amount of injuries does in 3 meaningless games means really nothing

while we agree on mayfield, we do NOT agree on darnold. the kid is gonna be a player. his ability to throw on the run is as good as anyone. considering his age, its remarkable how polished he is. the kid knows how to win and again at his age, its impressive. he doesnt have a superior arm and isnt in the class of rosen in terms of pure passer, but the guy can make the throws and is just a really good footbal lplayer. he plays tough, is well spoken and looks to have those intangibles...i want darnold, but if we pick later than i expected, im mayfield and allen over jackson
He's been the OC all season.
He wasn’t calling plays. And it is McAdoos system. It takes time. You don’t change an entire shit ass offensive system in one week.
the goods. His D was ravaged by injuries this year, he’s still short a pass rusher & theres the human element of playing for McAdoo.
Spags is a horrible head coach... period. Dont get blinded by a nice first half against the Eagles.
Spags coached for a dysfunctional Rams FO. He’s coached 1.5 games for a Giants team without a real offensive playbook and players coming off the street. The defense this year and last played 40 minutes per game with an utterly impotent offense. He lost more brain cells on a few beers than most NFL coaches have. Give this guy a break. He has the brains, personality, and instincts. Players play for him!

this team actually has people rooting for it? i have ZERO idea how any of you go to the games with this piss poor effort. i mean look at that mental mistake on defense, we have seen those brain farts all year. fuck this team
I hope they turn this around quick. the infighting on this board between those rooting for wins and those for losses is un BBI like.. this sucks all the way around.

Sully took over plays on October 15th, bro.
Come on, man. Link - ( New Window )
Again, do you really think that McAdoo was blindly letting Sullivan call the plays after he previously refused to give up play calling? And also again, it is McAdoos system. Not Sullivan’s. You cannot change an entire offensive philosophy in a week. It takes time. Each week they will add things. It’s not instant.
be SO NICE if browns were able to win 2 games and we landed #1 pick....those two picks would be INSANELY valuable. my thought is to take darnold and then try and move down a little in second round....

I agree it isn't instant. But he's been calling plays for 2 months now. Whatever. Doesn't matter, anyway.
league has superstar geniuses playing ST's and our guys are d crappy idiots - or our ST coach sucks in preparing guys for different situations so they end up looking confused missing blocks . Which is it? Since our problems have been ongoing for 11 years I am thinking the latter.
He shouldn't have played today. Hope it's serious.
You suck.
hope its SERIOUS?!?! are you okay? why the fuck would you want that? i want to see him start day 1, maybe the giants can turn it around and we actually see a competitive team next year

It was a mistake. I left out the word *NOT*. Of course I don't want that.

You are not up to speed on what really happened in St Louis. I know a lot of people in that city who were getting fed the real story. The guy was not liked by basically anyone. He was also fearful that he did not have the respect of the players so he fired an equipment guy who had been there for decades simply because he was intimidated by that guy's tight connection to the players. Just one small example of many that I heard.
Then ask yourself this. Why didn't he get the job two years ago? Why would the Giants hand the job over to a fucking gym teacher (description given by Greg Jennings) instead of a guy who had been in this organization TWICE and with a longer track record than McAdoo? So, we should hire the guy that could not beat out Ray Handley #2? The guy who was shit in St Louis as a head coach?

Another Fucking home run draft pick.
Bum.
The playcalling after the defensive stop was laughable
run at Cox on 1st down with John Halepino getting stuffed
then the typical negative yards swing pass failure then
the proverbial poor choice by Eli
this team can't stand prosperity !
Uh... I don't think anyone can make an argument based out of that awful decision by the Giant FO.
when OV got a sack ....Foles has had forever to throw
at least they are playing hard .
I don't think this means Spags should be the head coach
I want an entire new coaching staff if the new head coach
decided to keep Spags on defense I am ok with that but
I doubt that happens either .
And do something in the off-season to reinvigorate interest in this team. I realize they fired the coach and GM but they need to do something else to rekindle excitement about this team
flying to the ball there was a pick hanging and there is
no effort . Apple was a Terrible terrible pick !
I was wondering the same thing, then on the replay Goodsen came flying across and would have hit Apple in the knees before the back. Not an excuse just what I saw.
And do something in the off-season to reinvigorate interest in this team. I realize they fired the coach and GM but they need to do something else to rekindle excitement about this team
They need to fire a lot more people. I think if they had fired the entire front office, including Chris Mara and all the scouts, it would've sent a stronger message.
And do something in the off-season to reinvigorate interest in this team. I realize they fired the coach and GM but they need to do something else to rekindle excitement about this team
They have little cap flexibility and most FAs won’t want to come here to a bad team. Basically our offseason is to see who gets cut, trades. Then the draft.
That's NOT championship football according to Chris Speilman.
Really stupid for Speilman to even reference championship football while watching a Giants' game. Still... wide open and should have been completed. Those are the throws that Eli MUST make when we have a depleted offense. I dont remember whether a safety was coming over or not but that may have been a TD if completed.
is the poor decision to actually go for 2pts when the 3rd quarter is not even over yet. You take the extra pt and make it a 1 point game. Too much football ahead of you to risk not getting that point.

That's my thinking too. I never like going for two before the 4th qtr, and then only when you have to.
nobody is saying he is having a terrible game. But he's made the same bonehead plays he always makes. He has thrown a dumb INT and taken a dumb sack on a 2 pt conversion.
Let's not pretend that a sensational effort by King to dive into the endzone gave Eli one of those TDs.
Just stop. He's not infallible.
People who criticize him aren't dregs. Eli doesn't need you to defend him.

Do other QBs with his stat line not make mistakes? You take away from all the positives because of an nit that Drew Brees throws on the regular.

Try not to speak you really know nothing about football and it shows every time you open your mouth...
people are crapping on Eli. 322 yds, 29 pts, 3 Tds w 1 Int, and still 1 quarter to go, yet Eli sucks and its all him. He is playing well.
Thanks for the stat line. What is Foles'?
FOles is playing against our D you idiot. Look at the other QB's around the league, Eli's game today is in the top tier for sure. But carry on, your knowledge of football is non-existent, its like you are a 5 year old.
because the defense is gassed by then from all the 3 and outs....most 3 and outs in the league = most points scored against in the 4th...complementary football, baby!
is tiresome on a Giants message board?
Maybe if every time Eli threw a touchdown 10 people didn't literally say
"OH ELI IS DONE HUH?!?!!?!"
maybe people wouldn't try to point out facts to you brainiacs

We could have seriously put a couple of JAGs in the lineup this year instead of JPP and OV and the JAGs could have matched their output and performance. Hindsight would have used that money for the OL.
RE: Is it me or is this announcing crew just brutal Â
just sick of everyone crying when people point out Eli's shortcomings.
I can sit here all game and crap on Flowers, Apple, JPP, OV, number 23, and the coaching staff. Nobody says anything.
Someone says Eli should've thrown the ball on the 2 pt conversion...
they are all of a sudden an idiot who knows nothing about football.
RE: Is it me or is this announcing crew just brutal Â
This is a little different. Usually when the backup would come in to beat us, he would come in during that game due to injury without time to prepare... which is worse.
Foles a bit of a different story. He was a starter and quite possibly is the best backup in the league.
but shouldn’t the story of this game be the Eagles defense, but for our horrendous specials, we win this game with ease and we literally have no defense besides our front four.

Exactly! This is an offense that hasn't scored 30 points in over 2 years.
Really good question, I think given how many games are left he would most likely need permission from Mara at this stage who would probably say no. Quinn is our ace in the hole for tanking games
Manning's arm has looked a lot more live today. Ball is coming out with a lot of zip and he's mostly hitting his spots. Has not looked like that most of this year.
Really good question, I think given how many games are left he would most likely need permission from Mara at this stage who would probably say no. Quinn is our ace in the hole for tanking games

I was one of those people who said Eli should have thrown the ball on that play. Saying that he SHOULDN'T have thrown it to a WR (covered or not) shows that you have no idea WTF you are talking about. It is a situation where you either score or you don't. You have a shot at a penalty too.
If your concern is a pick 6, then why even risk the 2pt conversion with that kind of paranoia?
Side note, it was not even a criticism of Eli but more of a disagreement over the decision on that play. He is programmed to take the sack vs risk a turnover so I get it.
Really good question, I think given how many games are left he would most likely need permission from Mara at this stage who would probably say no. Quinn is our ace in the hole for tanking games
who's the interim GM? can he fire Quinn?
He could but most teams would do it through the coach
I just watched that play 4 times...
EricJ : 4:23 pm : link : reply
what a poorly designed play. The two guys underneath run a quick in route with NO desire to get open. They are decoys and not even in the end zone.
So, you have NO other option if Engram is not open. If Engram falls down, you have no other option. So
Yep, play hard and lose works for me lol. Simply can’t afford to win one more game and risk losing out on a franchise player by dropping even one spot in the draft.

At this point, it is better to lose, but can't feel that way when we play the Eagles.

Thom Brennaman and Chris Spieglman. I think this is some sort of Make-a-wish arrangement.
Can't really blame Giants fans for not going to this game. Although, it is kind of funny how they made such a big deal over Eli getting benched only to sell their tickets to Eagles fans.
Must be a lot of strip clubs in south Jersey missing their managers today.
He's fucking useless.
Thompson never turned around.
Might be Giants fans rooting for a loss?
Of course. They're doing well they hardly ever show up if it's not a win win for them. They never show up when they're bad.

You can root for a win all you want, but to say "who cares" about draft position? Um most of the forward thinkers...
Fuck the draft pick!
Die eagles die!!
They'll still get their QB in the draft. You can't go forward with a 37 year old QB for the next couple years.
They look horrible. I mean totally clueless and sloppy out there.
And then he says the Giants take the lead. When we already had the lead
Terrible defense by the Eagles. Sixty-seven yard passing TD, and the ball barely traveled five yards in the air.
Eli is having a good game. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence 14 weeks into the season though.
so you are willing to give up multiple future starter for one meaningless win?
trade up? you want to trade multiple high draft picks for a win?

Yup. Ellison was blocked into that Eagles defender.
They’re taking themselves out of the Darnold and Rosen zone......

Do you want to "beat" the eagles now when the season doesn't matter, or be a team that can beat them when it does matter? Don't root for losses. Root for them to get their shit together. Winning this game doesn't do that.

This is the issue, football is a team game. The offense is playing well, Eli can play well and the offense suck, Eli can not play well and the offense does well, however when multiple parts fail together the offense will suck. Each player must do their own jobs well enough for the certain play to work.
If you're qb has over 200 yards with only three incompletions then chances are the ol is doing its job, the qb is doing his job and the wr's are doing their jobs, sprinkle in some mistakes by the defense as well
I want a high draft pick just like everyone else, but if you're not enjoying this right now then you're watching the game for the wrong reasons.

If we can win and somehow knock them out of home field or give other teams a blueprint on how to beat them, and in turn somehow help deny them a SB, I'll have no trouble sacrificing a draft spot.
I want a high draft pick just like everyone else, but if you're not enjoying this right now then you're watching the game for the wrong reasons.
Thank you!!!!!!

Lol. Seriously? After the week they had and a new coaching staff getting less than a week to prepare, you’re wondering why they got their asses kicked? Jeezus
Well, people said without Mac they should be able to do much better. 10 points at home. Pretty sure Sully was the OC the entire season, too.

such a silly comment, draft position is goal #1 at this point.

It's clear that McAdoo was running the offense, even after he "handed off" duties to Sullivan.
This is the first real game for the Spags/Sullivan regime. It will be a short regime, but still...
Again... Fuck Philadelphia
A qb will be there when we pick.. but bashing fellow Giants fans for rooting for a division win is beyond me.
Tons of good things are happening for the future of this team right now.
And anyone thinking anyone from the interim coach down to the aging QB is going to sit back and take a beating for a draft pick, doesn't understand how getting a job fucking works.

They will get their future QB anyhow
and thats the only thing we need? How about that o-line? care to address that, well a win might make us have to trade possibly high picks to secure a QB when we really need our round 2 and 3 picks to get starters so we can rebuild this team.
We get it you want a loss but don't whine about someone else cheering for a win. We have no idea how this season plays out yet and calling a fan out for cheering for a win is asinine
There isn’t a consensus ‘can’t miss’ guy. Some people want Darnold, some want Rosen, some Mayfield, etc. We will get the guy whether we pick at 2 or 4.

Yeah - a loss here damages their chances of getting the #1 seed, and I think having home field advantage is the only way the Eagles are making it to the Superbowl.
I want the draft position but it's hard to out-tank teams like Indianapolis and Chicago.

Exactly what im saying, there will be a QB wherever they pick, I actually prefer Jackson. Let the chips fall. this season has been from hell. let us fans who suffered thru this shit show enjoy a division win. doesnt make us any more or less of the fans here rooting for a loss.

while we agree on mayfield, we do NOT agree on darnold. the kid is gonna be a player. his ability to throw on the run is as good as anyone. considering his age, its remarkable how polished he is. the kid knows how to win and again at his age, its impressive. he doesnt have a superior arm and isnt in the class of rosen in terms of pure passer, but the guy can make the throws and is just a really good footbal lplayer. he plays tough, is well spoken and looks to have those intangibles...i want darnold, but if we pick later than i expected, im mayfield and allen over jackson

Okay.
Spags is a horrible head coach... period. Dont get blinded by a nice first half against the Eagles.
Had a nice clean pocket too. Why even do that. Especially after the defense stepped up on 4th down
D needs a stop and O needs to drive hard.
My thought as well.
Eli will get the blame but watching it again, just a terrible route by Lewis and shit effort too. His about running a crisp, clean breaking route?
I hate when Eli does that. Love him, but he’s never shaken the habit of forcing one at the wrong time now and then
Actually no. Banks said that Lewis was sloppy in his break and never got to he spot the throw was. DB did.
Pretty clear from my end zone seat too.

I doubt that was the coaching instruction. Bad players do bad things.

Its not Quinn’s fault that there was a blocked XP and punt in the same half?
This is a results-oriented business. Of course he didnt tell him to blow the block. He just didnt put a cohesive unit on the field.

You cannot change an entire offensive philosophy in a week. It takes time. Each week they will add things. It’s not instant.

The playcalling after the defensive stop was laughable
run at Cox on 1st down with John Halepino getting stuffed
then the typical negative yards swing pass failure then

Uh... I don't think anyone can make an argument based out of that awful decision by the Giant FO.
I think Ole Miss is in LSU.
not gonna complain .
at least they are playing hard .
I don't think this means Spags should be the head coach

Same as it ever was. We are somewhat competitive for a half, and then collapse.

I was wondering the same thing, then on the replay Goodsen came flying across and would have hit Apple in the knees before the back. Not an excuse just what I saw.
They need to fire a lot more people. I think if they had fired the entire front office, including Chris Mara and all the scouts, it would've sent a stronger message.
That's NOT championship football according to Chris Speilman.
He is not.
They have little cap flexibility and most FAs won’t want to come here to a bad team. Basically our offseason is to see who gets cut, trades. Then the draft.
Five yard penalty gives us a first down.
Let's go.
Suck it MS...!!!

It's not worth the risk, manning tries to throw it and fumbles or gets picked and they return you'll bitch.
If the defense picks up the ball that close to the endzone, returning it isn't that improbable

Absolutely.. the Giants are NOT losing this game because of Eli.
not to mention no base strength at Center he sorely need

Incredible but hardly surprising from the usual dregs...
That's my thinking too. I never like going for two before the 4th qtr, and then only when you have to.
It's maddening. I want the anti-Eli crowd to have 10 years of Randy Dean and Jerry Golsteyn.
Will he need 2 seasons before he sniffs 2-11?
Star Wars movies released - 3
Cleveland Browns wins - 1
Baaahahahahaha

people are crapping on Eli. 322 yds, 29 pts, 3 Tds w 1 Int, and still 1 quarter to go, yet Eli sucks and its all him. He is playing well.

Eli will get blamed on here one way or the other. Either for losing the game or losing the #2 draft pick.
Let's not pretend that a sensational effort by King to dive into the endzone gave Eli one of those TDs.
Just stop. He's not infallible.
People who criticize him aren't dregs. Eli doesn't need you to defend him.
Yeah. Okay

I know you’re all about reverse cowgirling all these QB prospects but there’s a better chance they’ll bust vs being a legit franchise QB.

Do other QBs with his stat line not make mistakes? You take away from all the positives because of an nit that Drew Brees throws on the regular.

Same way you 'reverse-cowgirl' Eli. *shrug*
Terrible
:(
Reese should have been fired long before Hart was even on the team.
Excuse me:
One blocked FG, one blocked punt, one blocked PAT. The blocking trifecta!
Good lord.
Why did they take out Gallman!
Punt
Field Goal
Terrible snap. Almost behind Wing. DeOssie has not been good this year.

Try not to speak you really know nothing about football and it shows every time you open your mouth...
-3 field goal
-7 touchdown after blocking a punt
Eric, to be fair... you didn't need a "spidey sense". Without fact checking, I think that our worst special teams games have come against the Eagles
Eli checked into that one too. I don't understand these backward plays.
On all of the Maras
Blocked XP.
Blocked punt.
Blocked FG.
How many teams can say that? I bet no one else has done that in years.
It's like hitting for the cycle in baseball.

are these play calls? I thought McAdoo was fired

I keep telling you guys that defenses know what plays Eli will check into.
Might be waiting a long time
It's clockwork.

Thanks for the stat line. What is Foles'?
FOles is playing against our D you idiot. Look at the other QB's around the league, Eli's game today is in the top tier for sure. But carry on, your knowledge of football is non-existent, its like you are a 5 year old.
Thanks Reese.
We'd need to get near them first.
Because your constant harping on it gets fucking tiresome
Chris Spielman concussion. Still broadcasting
Maybe if every time Eli threw a touchdown 10 people didn't literally say
"OH ELI IS DONE HUH?!?!!?!"
maybe people wouldn't try to point out facts to you brainiacs

1 called.
Refs blow as usual
We could have seriously put a couple of JAGs in the lineup this year instead of JPP and OV and the JAGs could have matched their output and performance. Hindsight would have used that money for the OL.
It’s not you
And two were huge play, including the touchdown
Absurd
I agree special teams putrid but D not gassed they just suck...
They should be doing high school football games.
Feels like I'm listening to Eagles local broadcast team.
It's not a curse this time
This defense just is awful
I can sit here all game and crap on Flowers, Apple, JPP, OV, number 23, and the coaching staff. Nobody says anything.
Someone says Eli should've thrown the ball on the 2 pt conversion...
they are all of a sudden an idiot who knows nothing about football.
They are definitely pro Eagles. The one guy seems to love bashing the giants. Then seems angry when the do something positive.
This is a little different. Usually when the backup would come in to beat us, he would come in during that game due to injury without time to prepare... which is worse.
Foles a bit of a different story. He was a starter and quite possibly is the best backup in the league.
Or you mean throw the ball directly to the defende?
Exactly! This is an offense that hasn't scored 30 points in over 2 years.

That isn't the reason, you've made piles of posts over the years that prove what you know about football.
Eli lol
Glad your back B

Thanks bud.
Here's another one over valuing the QBs.
Beat the Eagles, get me Mayfield and I'm a happy camper.
i'd love for the Giants to damage the Eagles playoff run. let's do this.
Sign me up. He's a pain in the neck to play against. He's everywhere. I'd be shocked if Philly doesn't resign him though.

as interim HC, can Spags fire Quinn?
Really good question, I think given how many games are left he would most likely need permission from Mara at this stage who would probably say no. Quinn is our ace in the hole for tanking games
who's the interim GM? can he fire Quinn?

I was one of those people who said Eli should have thrown the ball on that play. Saying that he SHOULDN'T have thrown it to a WR (covered or not) shows that you have no idea WTF you are talking about. It is a situation where you either score or you don't. You have a shot at a penalty too.
If your concern is a pick 6, then why even risk the 2pt conversion with that kind of paranoia?
Side note, it was not even a criticism of Eli but more of a disagreement over the decision on that play. He is programmed to take the sack vs risk a turnover so I get it.

He could but most teams would do it through the coach
Then I did see that?
Lol he would have to be 7 ft tall to catch that. Terrible throw
And why Reese has no job
Yes he absolutely did. Hard to see it with the black sleeve on the defenders arm.
Goodbye NY coaching staff!!
So, you have NO other option if Engram is not open. If Engram falls down, you have no other option. So stupid
They fought hard Special Teams screwed us ...
Engram initiated the contact. Good no call.

Speilman has his tongue so far up the Eagles ass this whole game!
EricJ : 4:23 pm : link : reply
what a poorly designed play. The two guys underneath run a quick in route with NO desire to get open. They are decoys and not even in the end zone.

Good point. Just saw the replay. Was wondering why the Eagles didn’t double Engram. Didn’t have to.

Well, I call it like I see it and in that case Engram mis timed it and possibly could have had it. A little high sure..
My bigger issue is the play call and design. Not the fault of anyone on the field

if he said it was good position and defense, it's good defense...fml
It’s professional sports. No medals for trying.
Goodbye NY coaching staff!!
It was 3rd down.
I do. They blew their remaining gas today. Too many injuries right now piling up.
That penalty actually opened up the field, yes bad jump, but no bearing on play.
Bad play selection on the last 4 plays.
Remember last Eagles game Shepard got held, tackled or illegal contacted on 4th down too - no call either.
My sentiments exactly. Gotta get that 2nd pick.

I sure do
Don’t think so.

Yep, play hard and lose works for me lol. Simply can’t afford to win one more game and risk losing out on a franchise player by dropping even one spot in the draft.
...against a better team and almost pulled it out.
They played hard the entire game.

We will win against the Cardinals
