I know this could go into the other thread but I figured it could start another convo potentially.
If we look at the Gettleman hiring they sat down with him and it was a done deal from that point apparently.
The brass of big blue drove up to Foxborough after that storm and the first guy they sat down with was Patricia. With the Lions making a hard push for him- if this is the guy they want that is certainly a way to prove it to him.
I've wanted Patricia since they fired Mac so there is some bias here. Just interesting the timeline of events but people are still high on guys who don't even have interviews scheduled to this point.
Can we stop with the "the Giants made a business trip up there, so something big must be happening!" narrative now?
Their season isn't over - they're preparing for a playoff game next weekend.

Apparent to whom, exactly? They sat down with McDaniels too. Why is it apparent, because they interviewed MP first? That could have been a fucking coin flip.
Here.
they need a proven HC not another step-up guy so no thanks

So, what they did early in the season counts, but nothing else does?
They were the 5th best scoring defense in the league this year and, IIRC, gave up the fewest points in the league last year.
