that he could have issued a non-denial denial like "We're focused on the playoffs," so they think the fact he said BB will be coaching the Pats indicates he's not leaving.
I don't know the NFL world that well but I'm not convinced.
First of all, people lie.
Second, Kraft may not know whether BB has decided to leave -- if Kraft is on Team Brady, BB may not feel he can or should confide in Kraft.
Third, even if Kraft knows BB wants to leave, he wouldn't make headlines now and create a further distraction.
I note that BB hasn't come out to say he's staying, or that he wants to stay, or that he's not interested in another job, or that he's not interested in the Giants job. There will continue to be smoke until he throws cold water on the fire.
First of all, the story that ESPN released was more fake news bullshit clickbait by a has-been sports news network that is on their way to relevance equal to that of Rolling Stone. (<< how was that for a run-on sentence?)
Second, even if there was some truth to it did anyone expect the owner to give any hint that there was a problem or that BB would not be back as they are going into the playoffs here? I mean... talk about sabotaging your team by feeding the rumor mill and creating a major distraction at the most important time of the year.
Huh? Who cares where a coach established his legacy? What matters is getting the Giants back to winning, into the playoffs, and more Lombardis in the trophy case.
To me if would be a great bookend. Getting us a couple more coupled with the first two he had a big hand in us getting.

Stop reading FAKE NEWS. BB may have some ruffles at the moment with Kraft but I do not believe their long term relationship is in any jeopardy. BB would want more control than the Giants give to a Head Coach. Gettleman is in charge here and the coach must stick to coaching. BB would not be comfortable here even if he were available, and he IS NOT. Some of the ideas being floated on here that we give up draft choices for a coach are ridiculous. The Front office is going to hire a better coach without losing valuable picks. WE need better players in certain positions of dire need...like OL, and not a "superman" coach. Coaches do not win games. Players win games.
made up based on wishful thinking. The Pats may eventually put Bill to pasture, but like it or not he built a dynasty in New England and I'm sure he views that as home now. Things would really have to get bad in Pats land for Bill to leave and come to the Giants.
but I think there is more to the story than Kraft admits. The fact that BB agreed to trade Brisset early tells me he had no plans to move JG. Now maybe it was JG's agent daring the Pats to franchise JG, but trading Brisset and then JG is not a BB move.
Owner Robert Kraft told The MMQB that he believes “absolutely” Belichick will be the coach of the team in 2018
additionally, he did not mention anything about him being under contract to NE.
though They never discuss the contract, so maybe nothing there.
Come on.

To establish a legacy of winning naturally.
And can we stop with the FAKE NEWS BS. It's a tired and idiotic meme made worse by your insistence on capitalizing it.
