Mike Munchek

I am puzzled that Mike Munchek is not a candidate. Great OL Coach. Former HC. Former Player.
Why?

He wasn't a good head coach.

Must be more than that, considering none of the current prospects with prior experience were good either.

Shurmur got a pretty raw deal in Cleveland, and he coached them to 9 wins in 2 seasons. He won 4 in his first season and 5 in his second. Seeing that Cleveland is pretty clueless as a Franchise and constantly changes GMs, I would say that he did pretty good. Cleveland is not just going to be good over night.
Arizona interviewed him

About 50% at Titans I think? That's not terrible. It would really depend on the OC and staff and D staff.

He went 22-26 in three seasons with Tennessee, and his QBs were Hasselback, Locker and Fitzpatrick. How many more wins couldíve been realistically expected?

Exactly...Regular season: 22Ė26 (.458) with an over hill hasselback, a bust in Locker and a journeyman in Fitzpatrick and a run down Chris Johnson
Itís unfair to judge Munchak

And Shurmur due to the QBís they had to work with. In 2011 Shurmur he went 4-12 with QBís McCoy, Seneca Wallace, and Thad Lewis. In 2012 he went 5-11 with Brandon Weeden as his starting QB. His Jackson went 1-31 over the past two years with a much better roster than the ones Shurmur had to work with.
I'm surprised his name has surfaced a little more as well
