I had to post this. I tried listening to these people today. The overall pace and tempo of the show is bad enough but their opinions are even worse. Of course they think the Giants should trade Beckham. Scott also feels that josh Gordon is a better wr.
They are trying to be funny and quick but the show just comes off as awkward, boring and they all sound terribly misinformed.
Wfan couldn't come up with anything better? David lee Roth replacing Howard stern on krock was more seamless.
I give this trifecta of awfulness until the weather turns warmer before they are wacked. And of course, of course they all pretty much hate the Giants and focus all their energy on Odell Beckham and social media. Because that's what is important. Fuck off already.
What does that even mean.

Smashes my head against the wall over and over and over.
I wonder what ratings are. I'm guessing the older crowd keeps WFAN on regardless but curious what the younger or middle aged ratings are.

Lol.
Reminds of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer wants Jerry to get in on the pirated cable feed. Jerry tells him its stealing but Kramer says they just "write it off" even though they both dont know what it means. too funny
Mike was not awful. The guy all but started and owned sports talk in this town. He was arrogant and near the end mailed it in but he was a great listen at times.
Wrong episode - the write off bit was when Jerry's stereo breaks and Kramer tries to get him a new one by sending it in an insured package.
I will never understand what supposedly made him a "great listen", unless it was to laugh at just how much of a buffoon he is.

I'm 35 and still listen out of sheer laziness. I don't hate them, but don't love them either. During football season I like the sports talk, but when the season ends I'll likely switch back and forth with music. I wish they had gone with Malusis, maybe with Maggie Gray.
I like Gio in the morning. He's gotten off to a nice start.
I would have went Kim Jones and Mark Malusis
don't listen to wfan now as much when in car. only turn to it if I do when Joe and Evan are on..but really need xm serious to listen now to and reasonable football/sports talk at all.
MF was good at some points though arrogant. And had pure entertainment value at times..plus would give good interviews at times with guests.
Better at WHAT? Arrogance and bloviating?
He really has no place on this show.
Just trying to help the people. BBI helps me so it's the least I can do.
Yes about two weeks. They are so bad. Not even so bad it's good. Just so bad.
I love Kim jones even more now that I learned she turned Wfan down. Good for her.
Still can't get over the fact that the hosts on the "flagship station" of the Giants and Yankees mostly hate the Giants and Yankees.
I know that it's impossible because fan loyalties do not always divide up so equally, but I wish there was one station that focused more on Giants/Yankees and another that focused more on Jets/Mets - which, in my experience, are the most common baseball/football fan splits.
You don't like how he say "aks"?
Anyway, if you’re not missing da’ Sports Pope then you probably need to get your eahs checked. Ok?! Back afta’ dis.
I'll admit the show is a tough listen right now and it seems like they're struggling to figure out who does what. Bart Scott was an odd pick and I'm really not a huge fan of him, especially in that format. And Maggie Gray? It's obvious the people that do the hiring at FAN thought she sounded like Kim Jones (whom they really wanted!) but she is not even remotely comparable to Kim Jones!!
For the longest time I too thought it would be Kim Jones and Malusis, who are great together, but that never came to fruition.
I also agree Gianotti is doing a nice job in the morning with Esiason.
His arrogance could be a turn-off, but often his clueless callers warranted that response, not always, but often. He'd never be a guy I wanted to be locked up in a room or foxhole with--after all, it would be all about him--but in terms of radio entertainment on sports there were few other worthwhile options.
I don't even tune in WFAN anymore, at all, it's a wasteland.
Yes, it's been very good, and a preview of what Mike could do in the future. Also good when Francesa gets to show off his wry sense of humor ripping on Simmons.
