If you have ever been directly involved with D1 sports, there are different types of coaches. Some over-recruit and let the students battle it out. Others recruit fewer and develop individual athletes. The latter is more nurturing but is not necessarily the best winning strategy - maybe, who knows.
So if Landon Collins sees that there are different coaches out there and some he'd rather play for, who can criticize that?
