-Expectation is it Sessions will be waived to add Burke
-Hornacek claims all 4 centers will now play, people are taking it to imply Willy is on the block, Willy has implied he's open to playing somewhere else if he won't play here
-Trade interest in KOQ
-Such a Beasley quote "“One hundred percent — not 100 percent [sure], but I’m definitely hoping [Monday] to get up some shots,” Beasley said."
-Berman thinks Dotson is being shopped as well
(I'll be furious if they deal Willy/Dotson with an eye toward help for this season/playoff push)
Around the league-
Sabonis 17, 10 and 3
RHJ 14, 17, 5 and 2 (dayum) really nice find by the Nets, he's an improved 3 ball away from... watch out
Dinwiddle 31 and 8
Markkanen 16 and 8
Valentine 19, 8 and 5
Dunn 19, 8 and 4
WCS 22 and 9
Fox 11, 10 and 4
Skal 6 and 8
Jokic 22, 12, 11
Lyles 21, 5, 3 and 3 (kid can play)
Lou Williams, 34, 3, 4... has become a legit top level scorer
Supposedly he wants out. He sounds like a dickhead if you read between the lines from teammates.
because he's on a 1+1 deal, I think Mirotic actually has a no-trade. My question is...does the no-trade vanish once you pick up the team option? Once again, the NBA CBA is ridiculous....
I'd rather trade KOQ, get WH into the rotation for the second half of the season and see where you're at this offseason. However, if the best haul they can get back is for WH, I'd understand why they move him.

Bulls would be smart to pick up his option. It would add to his trade value and would stop him from being able to choose his destination.

Mirotic can block any trade HOWEVER if the Bulls pick up his option he loses that right. So if I'm the Bulls I'm picking it up. 1/2 of Mirotic can only be worth so much (especially when he can dictate his destination), 1.5 years should = solid value.

Important to remember the people making this distinction are Jeff Hornacek and Kurt Rambis. It's not as if proven excellent coaches are making the call. Would a Pop or Coach Bud etc decide Willy can't play? No clue but I'm not taking Hornacek's view as gospel. Hornacek himself 1. Asked for a defensive coach in Phoenix and 2. Did again when he got here so it's not as if even Hornacek pretends to be a defensive dynamo.
1) Projecting that KOQ will opt out
2) taking of advantage of KOQ playing well by showcasing him in hopes of gaining a young asset via trade
3) once he is traded, WH sees a similar role as last year
Remember, a key aspect of WHs value is that he is on a great contract (2 more years at 1.5mm per).

Tim Hardaway Jr. was a full participant in practice today. Michael Beasley (ankle) was limited in practice and is questionable for tomorrow.

He's obviously opting out. There is absolutely no reason for him not to.
Kanter recently said he wants to retire a Knick. I know guys always say the right thing, but I think he means it.

a problem here. In other words, I don't see this as ruining or wasting WHs value. If they are smart and I believe they are, they are simply:

So, we agree. We showcase him, see what the trade market will yield and after he is dealt, WH will assume his role.
Other teams are not just gonna help the Knicks create a roster spot so sure they are lowballing.
They didn't want Burke to get to the showcase, so they are doing something now. I suspect we will see lots of OQuinn and WHG until the deadline as that's where the depth chart needs to be thinned.
