NFT: BBI Quoting System in Threads

jlukes : 1/10/2018 11:41 am
I know it's probably been discussed, but I think it needs to be brought up again.

The quoting system is abysmal. When you have good discussions going like we have no with all of the changes, it is a chore to decipher long conversations.

There has to be a better format for quoting/replying to conversations.

Please?
there's a simple solution

But people are generally too lazy to bother - simply delete everything but the last comment being replied to.

but I also post 75% of the time with my phone and there's no way I'm deleting text. Maybe that's lazy but I'm not doing it.

It's a mess. A good effort, but it doesn't translate well. Something I think could help with overall aesthetics and quote aesthetics - remove the 'Subject' line. Completely gratuitous with the way people post comments to threads.

Am I the only who tries to avoid the quote feature as much as possible? I think if youre directly talking to someone in one thread, its obvious who you are talking to or just put their handle.

I never reply to a reply with my quote feature. If it is my thread and its the first comment, I never use the reply either because its obvious who I am speaking to. If it's a back and forth debate or discussion, I avoid it at all costs and just put the person's handle in the subject line.

I always thought having to have a "subject" and a body that needed to be filled out was kind of pointless but that's just my opinion.

I will use it when I do see a comment I wanted highlighted whether it was funny, a good post, or just plain stupid. And I just want people to see my reply as well... With all the Flash and glory that comes with it
