In the 8 seasons the stadium has been up, what is the greatest game the Giants played there so far?
A) Giants at Jets 12/24/11
Victor Cruz goes 99 yards and the Giants playoff run begins
B) Cowboys at Giants 1/1/12
Giants win the division over the hated Cowboys
C) Falcons at Giants 1/8/12
1st playoff game in MetLife history including multiple 4th down stops
D) Saints at Giants 12/9/12
Giants put up 52 in the most they've ever scored at MetLife
E) Cowboys at Giants 12/4/16
The Cowboys riding an 11 game winning streak ends against Big Blue.
F) Others?
#2 for me would be the Jets game on Xmas Eve. Walking out of the stadium chanting "little brother" to all the Jets fans was extremely satisfying after all the trash Rex was talking
Redskins in 2012 - Eli throws game winning bomb to Cruz
Raves in 2016 - Eli throws game winning TD to Odell on 4th and 1. The crowd goes nuts once he gets the first - and then EXPLODES as soon as everyone realizes he's taking it to the house.
I was also at the worst game in MetLife history the year before against the Eagles.
It's interesting seeing how angry and sad people are one day and how happy and elated they are a year later.
Both let us advance.
From perspective of getting in first, it's A.
From the perspective of the game itself, it has to be C and the almost total domination of a very good O, capped by 2 smackdowns on 4th and 1 or less, by a not overwhelmingly good D.
Yeah Jints we're getting old(er)... Agree... B
When it was clear the Giants were gonna win. I have no quarter. Every cowboys fan I saw I just screamed “HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS”
And my personal favorite, me and my buddy were waiting for the train in Brooklyn to go home and we see a cowboys fan slink up the stairs. He’s sullen, he’s upset and he’s cold.
I got a few feet from him and screamed “THOSE STARS AT NIGHT ARE BIG AND BRIGHT *CLAP CLAP* DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS.
That was brought to you by PBR. I was 23.
The falcons playoff game was great, but i feel the stadium had crazy energy for the cowboys game
I was at the game- stood 90% of the time. Crowd was insane.
I think the Falcons playoff game certainly has to be it, if only for the fact that it started a SB run.
Of course the prior week Dallas game has to be a close second.
I would add the Ravens game of last year with 2 60 yard + td's from obj. The 49er game with donnel scoring, the skins game with the Cruz score to win were also up there.
Not as exciting, but the crown last year for the December Lions and Cowboys home games were some of the best ever, in terms of noise, standing, etc.
Don't worry they will probably tear it down in a few years and stick the bill to NJ taxpayers.
That's a .530 winning percentage at home. Hardly the "home-field advantage" I'm sure they envisioned...
LOL. Yep. There it is. I remember this was the part of my life where everything started getting lame. No more Giants Stadium, my hot ex-girlfriend was completely gone, my big time Giant fan aunt had passed. I had to start looking for work out of college
Now here we are, even the lame shit is almost 10 years old. Sucks getting old.
Nothing compares with the 2000 NFC championship game for me. I was too young for the 1987 NFC championship game.
Back and forth with both teams scoring in the final minutes.
I remember when Cruz scored, I pointed to the clock right after the score. Over a minute left........but defense came thru.
ATL gets consideration being a playoff game, and win.
I still have Justin Tuck's robo-call on my phone.
Tuck: "The Giants are all in. ARE YOU?"
Lol. You wanna see a shithole go to Fedex Field.
And I vote for the Falcons playoff game.
