Was just doing a Periscope. Said Patricia was the top choice. McDaniels & Shurmur were 2A & 2B. Sure seems like the Giants have picked their guy. Just can't make it official yet. A lot of different reporters have Patricia as the top guy.
is not a done deal yet. BB is still trying to smooth things out in NE. BB and MP, one will coach Giants and the other will coach Pats. Patricia will coach Pats if BB comes here.

Do you have a source telling you Belichick is in fact interested?

I hope they spell his name correctly on the contract...

They're hiring Ted Belichek from Moonachie. The real thing already said he isn't leaving.
You can say that with any search. The fact that they have multiple guys they are interested in and would hire is a good thing. You can't plan on every one of them being gone.
I will say this. If this scenario arose and they simply hire Spags, I have no faith in the shirt term or long term futures for this team.
Just the other day MANY folks were all over Wilks. Now it would be "doomsday" if we signed him. The negative Nellies on this site need to take a breadth.

"Doomsday scenario" for Giants would be Shurmur to Cardinals, Patricia to Lions, McDaniels to Colts
Agree, but do they have time for a second round of interviews. Can they make an offer to Patricia and McDaniels while the Pats are still in the Playoffs?

No they can't offer while the team is still in the playoffs. The second round of interviews can only occur now if the team is eliminated, or in the week before the Super Bowl after the Conference Championship games are played.

Per NFL rules they can't offer the job while they are still playing, but we all know it happens. It happened with Quinn in Atlanta and Kyle shanahan with the 49ers off the top of my head.
The giants are not going to be left without a viable option. They will have everything agreed to with the guy they want even if he is still playing.
I think it will be Patricia or McDaniel just based on timeline and no more interviews

Wilks is an awesome example. Last month, nobody knew about him. This month, he "commands the room" like a drill sergeant and the interview process is a sham to get him in here.
Now, the Earth will stop spinning on its axis if Shurmur, McD and Patricia go elsewhere and we would be forced to bring some schlub on board.
His public interviews are not particularly impressive.
He may be the smartest guy in the room but look where that got us. I have a lot of respect for RP I guys and engineers but that doesnt give him more cred.
HC needs to lead and delegate. He must be very impressive in a private meeting if the Giants are willing to move away from their model HC.
Highly doubt we will have to wait till February. I'd bet we will know by Monday. Just won't be official.

That article is citing Jordan Raanan as his source. Kinda conflicting, huh?

With that said, god I hope that's real bc David Shaw is far and away the best candidate out there.
