"Sleeper" implies someone unexpected that could beat out the reported front runners (Patricia/Shurmur/etc). The article frames it more as a Plan D if Patricia/Shurmur/McD all sign elsewhere.

that was very strange for him to take the interview from Indy. No matter what he says, no recruit is going to listen to him in Baylor. I've said before the Giants liked him and sent him away to Temple for more grooming as a head coach, very similar to when Coughlin was sent to BC.

With Wilks seemingly returning to Carolina, that leaves hot 3 candidates for 4 teams right now.
I am now making a tentative plan to buy a new TV and work boots(will be putting down the remote, picking up work boots) if he is picked.

Doesnt really fit the true definition of "sleeper" as someone who was considered a favorite just one week ago but that's how I read it.
Unless Tom Rock thinks sleeper means something entirely different than what it actually means.
