is like watching NE.
Twice as painful when they are losing; you just know they'll either makes a great play, get fortunate bounce, get a crazy call, or some bizarreness that turns things around.
Or the other team will just fold....just a matter of WHEN.
1:50 left...I still dont feel confident.
Great job looking forward to that AFC championship rematch with the Pats.
Hope he can buy a ticket on the nfl ticket exchange after today’s game.
He’s overrated.
How you feeling about that judgement now?
He’s still overrated. What magical coaching decisions has he made today?
it isn’t always about changing philosophy! It sometimes you have to awaken the energy in your team. Sometimes you have to get their minds refocused. Sometimes guys start worrying about too many things on the field and as a coach you have recenter your team. That’s leadership. Talk TOO then not AT them.
Coaches who are very intelligent are great. They can think up a lot of things. Find unique ways out of a situation. Invent something so simple yet effective. Having a smart person as a coordinator is great. It’s perfect. They design schemes and formations and implement them. They duel minds on sundays. Head Coaches have to be great leaders of men. They have to keep the energy of the team in check. They have to understand the entire flow of a game. Their senses have to be on an ENTIRE group of men. Not one side or another. Tomlin is great at that. That’s why his Steelers teams are as good as they are and they make the plays they do. They play ALL OUT. Their passion is can go through the roof. Players love playing for him.
That sounds all warm and fuzzy, but they just got beat at home by Blake Bortles. Again.
Any sharp coach would’ve went into this game taking away the run and made Bortles beat them. Fournette just lit them up for 100 and 3 scores and the backup even had a TD.
Amateurish game plan from a coach many assume is a top 5 coach in the league.
how about popping it in the air and hoping your guy catches it and runs it in - I mean try something - they might have well as just run into the locker room after the TD.
Get that 3 and out on the other side of the field and they have a chance to tie right now
Absolutely the right way to go
What did you see in this game that would make you think they could get a 3 and out? Their defense was horrendous all game long. THAT's why they had to attempt the onside kick... they needed to give themselves every opportunity to get the ball back. Heck, even on that FG drive they allowed 9 and a half yards.

I think it's a pretty safe assumption they would have been ultra conservative, punted, and trusted their defense IMO.
Putting the ball in the air w/ Bortles...not sure even JAX trusts him in that spot lol

Heck, I don't even think they could've stopped 3 dives from getting 10 yards. I agree that in a normal situation, you kick deep and trust your defense. Today wasn't a normal situation with the Steelers' defense. They were pathetic.
You are too dense to even get the irony that you're railing on about Eli on a Steelers/Jags thread.
scores with Big Ben heaves !

I see that too but think Brunnel was better. A lefty who had some wheels.
Not at all.
I will try to miss that. Perhaps I thought it was just greeting. Now, I may go yak.

Bortles look like Jacksonville's old QB Mark Brunell?
Not at all.
I meant the way he looks in the face...not the way he plays. He's not even close to Brunell, who I thought was a very under-rated QB.
Beat me to it, lest we forget that jewel of a franchise the New York Jets backed off and now Marrone is in the AFCC.
