Belichick’s contract? Obviously BB can’t express interest while in a playoff run, but I can’t find his contract details anywhere. Maybe he is on a series of 1 year deals. Maybe he can opt out.
Isn't BB under a multi-year contract with the Pats? Â
it to be. BB would have a plan and if the press can't figure out his contract status, they most certainly could not figure out his plan. However he would have to let Mara know somehow, perhaps through McDaniels or Patricia. BB could make it happen but why would he? He is not Bill Parcells, he has stayed in one place all these years. If he is that mad at Kraft he could just retire.
He's losing all his assistants, his QB is old, he has no young backup QB anymore, there seems to be some level of discontent with the owner, and he's not young himself. To me, if anything is going to happen, I think all that equals a higher chance of riding off instead of starting over from scratch somewhere else.
then wouldn't one of patricia or mcdaniels want to stay and take over pats job?
Would you want the task of replacing the greatest coach ever on a team that will also lose Brady very soon?
That’s an impossible situation for anybody. The Pats minus Belichek and Brady are bound to plummet and the next coach will be on the receiving end of the backlash when it does.
he would cut and run from his current job in the face of a little adversity. What you're saying is that, while under contract and planning for a postseason game, put whispers out that he wanted to quit his job and jump ship.
That sounds like the person Giants fans respect so much?

Ironically, isn't this exactly what Parcells did to the Patriots when trying to get to the Jets? I think he even did it during Super Bowl week if I'm not mistaken.
The only way Belichick and Giants can come to an agreement is if Belichick's contract is up. Giants would be stupid to give NE 2? 1st rd picks and he would not come to a team with no real picks
To get the mess of '17 going in the right direction likely more quickly, get a huge name as HC, restore confidence in the team, and sell seats and jerseys would be 12M that would pay itself off by draft day 3 months from now.
Belichick contract is an unknown? - ( New Window )
It's is believed by the local media in Boston he is under contract for at least the 2018 season.
I read to get Belichick would cost 3 1st round picks.
Well, at least we won't need a QB. LL Cool J coming for FB?
They wouldn't necessarily know what BB is thinking.
His contract status might as well be nuclear launch codes. Nobody seems to really know what his deal is. But him leaving was always wild homer talk.

huh? The entire premise of this post is precisely that they do know what he's thinking.
