And that's why I asked in my original comment if there was a comment that I might've missed in which either of the two had given any indication that a name had been passed on to them. the article posted about what JM has learned from his Denver stint as HC, Im inclined to think he would much prefer the Giants ownership vs the train wreck of an owner in Indy. I also dont think Indys QB situation is as attractive as some would think with Lucks shoulder....he plays a very physical style of game and that took him out for over a year, shades of Romo to me in some ways.

It could be that team is settled on Candidate A and then the contract negotiations become a headache and the team or the Candidate moves on or threatens to move on, it could be that team and Candidate A are all on board but the Cadidate's family objects or wants to move closer to home or other family and Candidate A balks, it could be a team or an agent spreading disinformation or trying to create some buzz in the fanbase in one direction or another.

All indications are that Shurmur is the guy and if not for the miracle play to Diggs last night, it would probably be official right about now.
Of course, until it is final, it is not final.

It would be easier (and imo better to read through the threads) if the asshats were a little clearer about what they've heard.

I didnt make the thread to be selfish. People have been going crazy (myself included) to know who the new coach will be. It is a worrisome time, but an exciting time too. Personally, i love coming here and reading when you or the other credible guys relay what you hear. Whether you discreetly put something in a different thread, or give it its own thread, its being put out there regardless.

I'm just not sure what is making you so confident in this.
All indications are that Shurmur is the guy and if not for the miracle play to Diggs last night, it would probably be official right about now.
Of course, until it is final, it is not final.
But I think the Giants are pretty intent on offering him the job and by all accounts, he plans on accepting it.
