Unbelievable road to the SB for Pats.....

Doomster : 1/14/2018 9:10 pm
Are you kidding me?

The Pats get a bye and then face the likes of Mariotta, Bortles, and Foles or Keenum?

How freakin' easy can it get for them?
You can only play

Eagles then Vikings then Ravens.
Top defenses are great
UConn4523 : 1/14/2018 9:19 pm : link
but it’s still Bortles and one of Foles or Keenum. The Pats also avoided the team that matches up best with them in KC.

I’ve never seen a more fortunate team in all of sports.
Sacksonville won't be easy

Is not going to be easy
It is the easiest road they've ever had
Breeze_94 : 1/14/2018 9:24 pm : link
but like someone above said, they can only play the teams on their schedule. I guess it's the benefit/reward of having a great regular season record and getting the top seed/home field advantage.
Jacksonville
McNally's_Nuts : 1/14/2018 9:26 pm : link
reminds me of the 2007 Giants, just that Eli was better than Bortles.

I think Jacksonville shocks the world. They can play anywhere.

Jagginoff
Jacksonville is not easy by any means
BigBlue4You09 : 1/14/2018 9:26 pm : link
And they don’t decide who their opponents are.
Jax will be tough
MetsAreBack : 1/14/2018 9:34 pm : link
But I'd be very concerned as a Jax coach at how easily Pittsburgh moved the ball today

Minnesota defense looked like dogshit once their DT and safety left the game. If they don't get back next weekend I think philly wins. Keenum was awful today - even the miracle last play was an inaccurate horrible throw
Have you not watched every year?
DCOrange : 1/14/2018 9:38 pm : link
The need to win no more than one easy home game and one other to get to the SB every year. And it will be that way until Brady retires. Weak division plus crappy AFC equals a SB chance every year.
I know
Mr. Nickels : 1/14/2018 9:38 pm : link
jags can have one of those historic Defenses. I think Pats repeat and go 3 out of 4 twice for their 6 rings. Pats will have played 8 different NFC teams if Vikings make it. They also might beat Vikings in their house.

NE doesn’t have Brown, Bell, or an OL as good as Pitt’s.

BB will take away Fournette. If Bortles can have an average mistake free game I think they have a good shot to win.

There's no way Minnesota is winning a January game in Philly even at full strength.

It'll be Philly vs New England II.

Vikes are going to beat them by 10 at least.
New England never does anything easy...
bw in dc : 1/14/2018 10:32 pm : link
in the Super Bowl. So if they get there, I’m almost positive it will be a barn burner of a game...

Jacksonville will be difficult because they will be the most physical team New England plays so far this year. Plus, they are young, hot, and fearless. And that is a dangerous combination...

And let’s be honest, this isn’t a great Patriots team...

through in a strange way. Brady going down and Hoyer being awful could be enough to get us BB.

Have to route for the Pats now to make sure Philly dosent walk away with the title.

Reason why, Bortles sucks, and you stop Fournette you should win the game, which I think the Pats will do. This is BB we are talking about.

Jacksonville could be difficult. What's your point?

Bortles proves he can make enough plays to win. If the Jags D can get to Brady, it's Jacksonville's game to lose.
It's Jacksonville's game to lose?
Greg from LI : 1/15/2018 1:06 am : link
Lulz......they barely beat the Bills and should have lost today if Mike Tomlin hadn't been determined to repeatedly shoot his team in the foot. They COULD win, but stating that a game in Foxborough is "theirs to lose" is absurd.
Good for the Patriots!

what the Patriots do is so easy? They're a great team, and it's hard to sustain the level of success that they have. People complain about them playing in the AFC East as a cupcake schedule. The Giants would go .500 against that division if they switch divisions with the Pats.

Same can be said for some NYG fans, fucking brutal

Patriots overly fortunate or not have done something that will be listed in football lore for years to come which IMO deserves some level of respect. My point is worry about your own team and move the fuck on. Again its pathetic.
reminds me
giantfan2000 : 1/15/2018 8:44 am : link
of Dallas in the mid 70s
Dallas dominated our division
but
ever bounce seem to go their way , every game there seem to be a fortuious penalty that bailed them out of a bad situation
our division always very weak teams (5 teams in divisions ) so they seem to always be spotted 6 or more games )

this is why I hate Dallas over all the other teams..
The whole idea of the thread topic itself is funny
EricJ : 1/15/2018 8:49 am : link
It SEEMS like the road for the Pats is easy only because you are comparing the Pats to these other teams. So, it is obvious that the Pats are really good.... and now there is a complaint that their competition may not be as strong.

Well... maybe they deserve the success that they earn?
How about the road for the Eagles?
St. Jimmy : 1/15/2018 8:53 am : link
They get to play two dome teams in January. The exact same two teams they played to get to the Superbowl in 2004 just in reverse order.
When the Giants are out of it, I root for the Pats to win the SB.
Keith : 1/15/2018 8:53 am : link
We are going to look back at this era and say that the only team the Pats and Brady couldn't beat was the NY Giants.

BB filmed a practice and in another game, the balls had one pound of air less. It cannot even be determined what advantage if any the Pats gained in those two instances.

Meanwhile, this team has DOMINATED the league and it is not even close. This now makes 7 years in a row that they got to the AFC Championship game. Let that sink in for a minute. There is no cheating that can accomplish this.

Nonsense. Jags were cruising and gave up two long TDs that should never have happened, especially the one before half time. Twice they let somebody get behind the safeties when a high school team should have known better.
The Steelers oline and running game is much better than the Pats. Brady will be on his ass a bit more than he likes.
While it may not be theirs to lose, it will not be a walkover or close to one.

As for Bortles, if he played like yesterday against Tennessee, it would have been 30-3.
